Update: I cycle through 3 or 4 pair of shoes so I've been using these for my long runs. They have 104 miles on them. On the Higdon plan I've just started hitting the double digits with the Ghost 6 and have decided that they're just not good enough for runs over 6 miles. About 6 miles in my ankles start to feel the shock of hitting the road and my feet tend to feel like they're not landing normally, almost jostling around. So, I'll be stocking up on the Ghost 5 over the next few months and hoping the Ghost 7 corrects this issue. I have to think that the midsole support that was removed this year has something to do with my issue. Still, for anyone training for a 5k that needs a bit of support, this may be the shoe for you.
This running shoe's cushioning, which felt great at first - nice and soft - compressed very quickly. I don't think I had run a hundred miles and I couldn't wear them anymore. There was wear on the sole, but the main problem was the compressed cushioning. I can't even wear them anymore for walking. The second pair I bought is still usable, but I'm sure not for long. I already feel the cushioning leaning to the outside.
For this reason, I do not recommend these shoes at all, but particularly if you pronate/supinate.
The one negative is that the sole is showing more tread-wear than other shoes he's had. However, he puts a lot of miles on his shoes per week. At least six miles a day and some days more.
even though i measured my feet before placing my order, the shoes came fit narrow and small. i couldn't wear them. i would have been able to pay for a pair at the shoe store with the shipping costs as i had to pay for shipping, and return shipping,
