My husband loves this shoes, he says they are very comfortable and they also have very good support
I am really happy with the way these shoes support me and the way they make my legs feel after a long run.
But they hold up well and I'm going to stock up on a few pairs since they're now the old version.

I did not purchase these on Amazon but I still feel the need to review them as many people will order them here. At first I hated the Transcends, I went so far as to call them running shoes for dummies, but after five weeks in them, I have come to love them. My biggest issues were the overall weight and the abnormal stiffness during the 'break in period'. I mean the shoes made it feel like I was running with two wooden kleenex boxes on my feet. But somewhere between my third and fourth run, a light came on...they adapted to me, and opened up. Ladies and Gentleman I'm gonna run this pair into the ground.

Here are my pros and cons:

    Pro:
    1. The midsole is soft when you need but rigid went you want it. That rigidness leads to Pro #2
    2. An outstanding toe off, which is a big thing for me. I like to feel like I'm coming out of starting blocks all the time.
    3. The guide rail system (something I immediately wrote off as a gimmick) actually works, it will gently assist you in maintaining your form and stride by kind of guiding (hence the name) either side of your foot regardless of whether you over or under pronate. So eventually through repetitive motion/muscle memory you'll stop (at least I did)
    4. Literally, yes litterally, no foot pain on long runs 10k plus (something I always have dealt with)
    5. No shin splints for hard strikers
    6. Being a zero drop guy I find the beveled heel actually encouraged a mid-foot strike (you feel the he strike of the blown out sole at the mid foot area)
    7. 160.00 dollars? yes its a Pro, these shoes could easily go for 185-200 considering that they pretty much back up their claims 'excellent heel lock, premium upper, running on clouds, guide rails etc...'
    8.

I had stopped running because of knee problems. I wanted to get back on the track and thought I needed something with more cushion. I read a good review of the Brooks Transcend in Runners World so I gave it a try. I can't tell you how happy I am with the results. I am back running 30 to 45 minutes a day without any pain. These great shoes for anyone looking for more cushion.

The good news is I was able to run a 5K with my grandson last weekend. Something I would have not considered without the Brooks Transcend!

My go-to running shoes that have seen me through going from running a 5k all the way through a marathon. I did not consider myself a runner when I started and just wore my old shoes. A friend purchased these for me and my knee pain immediately went away. Over the last two years, I've built up to a marathon with these shoes. I replace them every 3-6 months, depending on my mileage. But they hold up well and I'm going to stock up on a few pairs since they're now the old version.

i have not worn these shoes long enough to judge how they support my feet/ankles in the long run. I've been very satisfied with my other Transcends. The color of these is not my favorite but they were on sale (and are usually quite expensive). It's a comfortable and lightweight shoe.

Saw these on a clearance rack for $39.99 and looked them up on the spot. Liked the reviews so I jumped on them. I've only had them for a bit but I'm already liking them if not loving, considering the price I hit them for! Easily more comfortable than my AirMax 2015's. Great ride.

Ran a couple half marathons in these shoes and trained in them for some time! They are awesome and worth it! Highly recommend these shoes to any runner!

bought these 18 months ago just before the new version came out. Loved them. I'm a big fella at 6'3 240lbs.... I run 5k a few times a week and was burning through shoes after a few months. These were by FAR the most comfortable I've had on my foot, and lasted almost 9 months before I took pity on them. However, I still wear them in bad weather or for yard stuff. This is my 3rd pair, could only find on amazon.

So far I've logged about 25 miles on these and they are the best replacement for the old Brooks Trance 12's (now discontinued) that I had enjoyed for several years. I generally size between a 10.5 and 11 but I've noticed that in Brooks brands shoes I need to slide it to the larger end (11's are perfect). One note on these Transcends; the upper portion of the shoe (the top "rim", where the highest shoelace is) has a slightly tighter fit than I was previously used to. It isn't uncomfortable and I actually think it may be part of the stability/motion control features of the design but it takes a couple of miles to get used to.
