The description on this item clearly states works with natural and synthetic corks. Granted, I don't come across a lot of synthetic corks, but wouldn't you know it, the first bottle I grabbed to test this out on after receiving it had a synthetic cork in it. The worm went in easy enough but it just slid right back out when trying to remove the cork. I re-adjusted and tried again with the same result. Cork would NOT come out. First bottle attempted and this thing was 0-1. I remembered reading the description saying this is fine to use with natural and synthetic corks so I looked at the manual that came with it
Page 8 recommends only 2 things for the "care" of this product. (image is attached for you guys to see)
1. Do not immerse in water.
2. Do not use on synthetic corks.
So yeah, completely false advertising by the seller.
Had it actually worked on removing the synthetic cork I probably never would have even bothered reading the small manual and never have known but when it literally will not even budge a synthetic cork and the manufacturer themselves says to not use it with synthetic corks - it's going back.
