"deluxe costume" said no person EVER about this costume...

The term "deluxe costume" is just wrong. The quality of the product was terrible. In fact, there were tears in the bodice of the costume that were similar to a run in panty hose--no way for me to mend it or send it back before Halloween. The reviews were mixed on this, but it seemed the bad ones were from years past with more recent reviews being decent. Should have known...My daughter was also upset that the stone in the middle chest was a sticker/iron on and not the real gem as others claimed to have as did the description. The gloves were huge, but we're the only good thing about the costume because we live in MI and halloween here are cold. The costume gloves fit over her winter ski gloves and jacket. That's how big they were. The foam crown was also a cheap joke. Trying to form it in time for the holiday was almost impossible. Also, this costume was extremely wrinkled from being in the packaging. I did wash and dry the dress AND even ironed it. All things the care label suggested against, but it worked to get the wrinkles out. Also should mention that the sizing was huge. Not true to size at all! I had to pin the dress up. My daughter wore a winter jacket underneath and it was still huge on her. Worst costume purchase EVER.

My daughter wanted to be Princess Peach for Halloween, so I ordered a costume (prior to this order). When we received it, my daughter was disappointed that there wasn't a "real jewel" on it like another person's costume had. She tried it on & it fit well (the gloves were a bit large at the top & slid down; I figured that I would sew some white elastic bands together to slip over the gloves to hold them up & they would blend in). However, I noticed that the hemline had not been sewn together properly, so I sent it back & ordered this one.

This one is wonderful! It has the "real jewel" on it! My daughter will be thrilled when she sees it. The crown is a bit misshapen from folding, so I tipped a glass over & have the crown over the bottom, hoping it will "unfold." Otherwise, this costume is perfect. It's not so long that she will trip over it & it won't drag on the ground. I hope it won't rain on Halloween!

Daughter Loves It but Falls Apart

My daughter loves this costume! She was so excited that it has "real jewel" and not just a picture. When we got it, she put it on right away and played in it. We took it off and put it away to save for Halloween. I just pulled down the costume to get out the wrinkles and get it ready for tonight, and I noticed that there are two holes in the waist and the hem is already falling down. We have the Mario and Luigi costumes from the same company that have been played in for the past two years for far longer and far harder than the Peach costume was, and they are still in great shape. The Peach costume didn't even last one hour. I can mend it and get it through tonight, but it is a disappointment. To get the crown to stand up I got it wet and then put a vase inside the crown while it dried. I have given the costume two stars, because it is cute and my daughter loves it, but it is not well made.

Worst Amazon Purchase Ever

In all of my years of buying and making costumes, I have never seen one as poorly constructed as this one...and I once went trick or treating as a hotdog made entirely out of poster board and staples! The gloves are by far the biggest disappointment. They're not even in the shape of a child's hand! I'm currently trying to reconstruct the gloves using fabric tape (as I don't have a sewing machine), but they appear to be a lost cause. The crown is falling apart and will not stand up or stay on my daughter's head. I tried adding support to the inside of the crown, but it's so poorly made that nothing I tried worked. I am now making my own crown out of foam and gems. The dress is huge, but it's for ages 4-6 and my daughter is only 4, so that's forgivable. It looks incredibly cheap, though. It does not look the way it appears in the photo. Definitely NOT worth the money. I'm spending more money repairing the costume than I spent on it. It would have been more economical to buy a sewing machine and sew one myself. What a waste.

This costume is very cheap, not worth the price. It is not even the one currently pictured, it is the lighter peachy pink, and does not have the dark pink sleeves. The gloves are a joke, they don't go up to the elbow, no way they could when the fingers are only about 2 inches long. The crown is a soft foamy material and is flat for shipping and the creases stay - it won't stand up nicely like in the picture. The dress itself just doesn;'t hang as nicely as the one pictured. Overall, my daughter and I are both disappointed. We may return this as it is significantly NOT as pictured.

Not only were we able to find the exact costumes they wanted but these things were 10 times better than anything you can buy at Wal-Mart. The construction is superior right off the bat and each costume comes complete with everything. This particular costume wore perfectly throughout the school day, made it through a wash, and held up all night. One thing I would mention is that my daughter is tall for her age and the costume ran long.

I wish I had read the previous review before I ordered this! I got this costume for my small 3 year old daughter and I wanted the costume with the pink sleeves. I ordered this one in a size 4 since I thought it was the one I wanted (and they didn't have any smaller) and I could do alterations. I received the costume that is all peach (the one I didn't want) and it was way too big! The quality was really poor, as is with most halloween costumes. I am returning it. I just feel like the picture they posted for this costume was false advertising and I was so disappointed when I got it in the mail (and still have to pay for S&H).

My 5 yr. old daughter liked this a lot. We had to take a 3 wick candle and place it in the middle of the crown for a week to get the crown in the correct shape. it showed up flat. The gloves are too big so she didn't wear them but all in all it was a great costume. I steamed out the wrinkles and it look awesome and she was very happy. She wore it to 3 different parties on 3 different days.
