If you fallow Bewitched and Bewildered series, you know what happened to out beloved sweet, loyal witch. It was tearful. And his presence was missing her. Well, missing physically. Because Keelan was always there spiritually. More then you could guess.
Talking about the story itself... Well, like always Alanea surprised me. After the ending of previous book and of MBK summary, I thought this story will go one way. I started to read and the story goes completely in different path. And I loved it! It seems Alanea just couldn’t disappointed you. She always can offer the best with her journeys.
Oh, I so loved this couple here. Anne was amazing. Strong and solid. Perfect for Kendrick.
And Kendrick...Oh, my... I think I found myself a new bookboyfriend. He was so authoritative. And just...There?...Lol I don't know how to describe him. You just can't overlook him. He always on your mind.
Kendrick was also really helpful in finding more pieces for the big puzzle. Which started with the first book.
And talking about those pieces... OMG. Those new facts are just killing me here! We know more. But not enough for me. I need more. I need to know everything. So, I hope next adventure will come soon.
Kendrick is Keelan’s older brother, and if you’ve read the previous book you will know that Keelan “died” protecting Amelia and the Alpha Unit from a trap that would have stripped them of their souls. I thought Kendrick was going to be a stick-in-the-mud, but I loved his character. He fits in perfectly with the members of the Alpha Unit and their mates. In fact, he’s almost like a male version of Meryn; they think alike and both have a huge thirst for knowledge.
Anne is a trained nurse, brought in by the Unit to look after Keelan, who they all think is her mate. Turns out it was the right family, but the wrong brother. Other than saying she’s nice and that she also fits in with the men and women of the house, there’s not much else I can say about her because the story focused on Kendrick and the necklaces.
MY BROTHER’S KEEPER is told in dual POVs, with the epilogue being told in Elizabeth’s as she and Meryn are summoned by her uncle to the vampire city of Noctem Falls. I get the impression that the next several books will take place in Noctem Falls and will focus on the Unit members there finding their mates. We still don’t know who is behind the creation of the necklaces, so that story arc is still ongoing. As I’ve come to expect with this series, the story had me laughing throughout: from Meryn’s ranking system to the Girl Scout cookies. On to the next book.

This is a pretty fast-paced book, but so worth it.Read more
