An insipid plot involving the violently anti-gay father, the poor mother standing helplessly between his gay son and father, the now -married Army buddy who shows up with wife & child and ...yada yada.
I couldn't wait to put it down.
"Bryan & Jase" would have made good reading back in the 1950's. I can see them picking out furniture at Korvette's.
I love this book.
Bryan and Jase met when they both where deployed over seas. They were best friends trying to survive war. As their time gets closer to being sent home their feelings for each other start to change until one night everything changes for them. That leads them to spend the most passionate week together before they go their separate ways but neither forget.
Flash forward a year Jase is in loveless marriage but he is now a father to a beautiful boy and Bryan is single, they see each other again for a reunion and their feelings are still there but now Jase has his son to think about.
Move forward another 7 years and everything for Jase has changed except his feelings for Bryan this time when the see each other again can they finally feel free to act on their feelings for good?
I love second chance romance and this is a great one. AD Ellis does a fantastic job with her 2 main characters in depicting their pain and love for each other. Told in dual POVs you definitely feel for both of them. There is conflict and the payoff is well worth it and I loved it.
If you are a fan of second chance romance and love a m/m story you will not be disappointed with this one at all!
