UPDATE 1/8/2017: After 2.5 years of regular use my rope snapped in half today, and I'll tell you why. After all this time there was still no signs of wear, HOWEVER, I always hung the rope on a hook in the garage in the same spot. Over time it became like a permanent kink and I would just stretch it out before jumping. What I didn't notice was that hanging the rope in the same spot over and over and over for 2.5 years began to wear that spot down. It developed a crease that eventually caused it to split in two. Being housed in the garage the rope experiences the sweltering heat of summer and the shivering cold of winter, so I don't know if the temperature conditions of the garage coupled with me hanging it in the same spot over and over contributed to it snapping in half today.
That said, I am reordering this rope as I still stand by my original review that it is worth the investment. If taken care of properly, this rope should last for years. When I receive my new rope I won't be hanging it on the hook with the other non-Buddy Lee ropes we have, but instead will coil it and find a more suitable spot for it.
This rope makes double unders so much easier!
