You can guess from my Amazon user name I might be biased about this book but I can honestly say this graphic novel is beautiful. If you're a Buffy fan the continued adventures of the Scooby gang has been quite a treat. These 'Library Edition" hardcovers are a great value and well produced. The size is larger than the original comics, these measure about 12.5" high by 8.5" wide. The paper is thick, thicker than a regular comic book, and the colors pop off the page. Binding is very sturdy and there is a sewn in book mark which will help you as you make your way through the 320 pages. This collects issues #11-20 of Season 8 with cover art and "Willow-Goddesses and Monsters", there are about 26 pages devoted to sketchbook drawings. I'm not going to give away any plot spoilers so I'll just say that these are a fun read with 3 of the 5 'episodes' written by Joss Whedon. The interior artwork varies, the covers by Jo Chen are fantastic. I wish there were a way she could do the inside page art as well. Chen really captures the look of Buffy/Gellar and brings her to life. For Buffy fans highly recommended.

This is some of the best library editions I've seen since the Hellboy library editions. There is a nice red ribbon for the bookmark just like in volume 1 of Buffy season 8. I think Buffy works even better as a comic than a show. It's being written by lots of the show writers (Doug Petrie, Jane Espenson and Joss Whedon) and so it vibes with the previous 7 live action seasons. Now they can design sets and fights as big as they want and none of the characters age. This is brillaint. If you are a Buffy fan, you need to own this. The binding on volume 1 says "Buffy" in red, volume 2 says "Buffy" in a kind of fuchsia. Not a big deal, I know, but I am curious now what color volume 3 will have since I pre-ordered that like two months ago. Can't wait for that volume in December. Buffy Lives!!

I have to say I am a fan of the TV series. Knowing that there was a continuation of the series in the comic book world made me think twice before looking at the series beyond the TV series because, usually what happens is that the series burns completely out because of poor writing and various other reasons. However, I have to give props to the Season 8 Volume 2 library edition, as well as Volume 1, for doing a very good job at continuing Buffy's life and experiences as a Slayer and the leader of the next generation of Slayers, as well as being a mom to her sister. It is a very well done continuation of the storyline and TV series.

If you still miss the show and the characters; Joss continued it in comic form. It is a bit more fanciful than the TV show but the spirit is there. The Library Editions are high quality large format collections of the individual comic runs. The Library Editions have been released a year or two after the initial comic release. They are perfect for new or old fans to catch up or compliment the collector. As of this review 1/2015 they just released the Library Edition Season 9 volume 1.

I am an avid fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I was ecstatic to find out that the story was continuing in comic book format. After an intense run, season 8 came to an intense close worthy of Buffy. These hardcover library editions are beautiful. They have a ribbon to keep your place, all the covers, and bonus art. I replaced my issues with these books and I am not disappointed! I hope that season 9 comes out in this format too!

Comic is nice as it continue off of the series and the best part is no budget constraints! Graphics are well done and colorful. Characters are given more in-depth and creative. Plus having the hardbound copy is great as the pages will not get bent and it is all-in-one.

Stoked to have found this huge hardcover edition of volume 2, for such a low price! I'm a huge BTVS fan, and love to collect what I can afford, and this luckily, this made the list! The library edition books, look great in my shelf, and I'd recommend the series to any geek out there.

This is a great buy for anybody wanting to read season 8 without buying a dozen books. Although bulky in size, I found I almost liked that about it. IT's huge, but the quality is great and the price is even better for what you're getting. For anybody wanting to see what happens after Sunnydale, this is an amazing way to do it. I'd highly recommend the library editions to everyone.
