Practical, encouraging, and well-written. I can't help but repeat what other reviewers have already said, highly recommended.
This book is a rendering of several decades of direct work and some of the best down to earth practical words I have been able to find.
Like good poetry the paragraphs will contain more if one takes the time to think about them.
Like a great wine the ideas are best opened with intention rather than swilling.
Like a starving person lost in the woods i binged through my first reading. I'm now satiated enough that I am going back and paying much more attention to the details. I expect to be reading it and rereading it for years to come.
"Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die."
This book is like drinking the antidote. In the right light, most of our problems are simply solvable. There is hope.

Building a Better World in your Back Yard is packed full of solutions that save money while saving the world. Solutions like how to grow a greener lawn with less effort and cut down on the cost of mower gass and store-bought additives. Or like how to drastically lower your heating bill, while keeping yourself warm without having to wear seventeen sweaters all at the same time.
Rather than wasting paper moaning about the problems of the world, Wheaton and Klassen-Koop quickly jump into the solutions. Besides, if you're going to buy a book like this, you already know there's something wrong that needs fix'n. The writing style is friendly and accessible. The illustrations add a wonderful touch.
It doesn't matter if you're dwelling in a cement cube seven stories above the city or living in a spacious homestead, this book has something for everyone.
(this review is for both the physical book and the e-book as I bought both)
