"Building Wealth One House at a Time" introduced beginning investors to critical concepts in the processes of buying single-family homes, providing readers with a clearer understanding of how deals - and profits - may be made. "Building Real Estate Wealth in a Changing Market" takes those concepts and applies them to various situations, such as buying and selling during market corrections, buying from distressed sellers, buying from other investors, buying preforeclosures, buying foreclosed properties (Schaub advises much caution in this enterprise) and others. Throughout, Schaub emphasizes that a margin of safety in buying is critical to profitable investments. Along the way, he provides hypothetical examples, as well as examples from his own experiences and those of his students.
Readers of "Building Real Estate Wealth in a Ching Market" will no doubt remember people they knew who made mistakes during the bull market in the mid '00s and suffered dearly in the ensuing downturn. Schaub's book presents them with the tools to avoid those costly mistakes, and to indeed "build wealth one house at a time".
After reading four of his books I am confident I can make the first move into Property Management.
gives you great understanding in the ever revolution of a changing market in Real Estate investing, It's just a great book I've thoroughly enjoyed
reading " BUILDING REAL ESTATE WEALTH in a CHANGING MARKET " I can't wait to take John's course " BUILDING WEALTH ONE HOUSE at
a TIME " also a great book probably his best book ever my opinion, any way his Couse is January 29, 2015 in Sarasota, Fla.
Thanks John,
Sam Sanders:
Real Estate Investor
The writing is very down to earth, easy to comprehend, and practical. I noticed many ways in which reorganizing or rephrasing material might have made it easier to consume, but in the end, I got the point. I took notes -- lots of them -- because I found so much of value in almost every page.
Finally, one thing I really appreciated was the way Mr. Schaub used both male and female pronouns throughout the book. As a woman, that made the book feel as though it was including me. But he did this without a single mention of it in the introduction and I say, "Kudos!" to him for that. I've seen other books make a big deal of their use of both pronouns, as if they were being somehow magnanimous by including females. He included us without fanfare.
I highly recommend this book, especially to people who want to get started (or continue) investing and want a no-nonsense, down-to-earth approach to the subject. I'm sure this is a book that I will return to again and again throughout my investing career.
