"I don't think it necessary to have read MB first. I couldn't put [Building Us] down from start to finish, although I had to, as it was husband's birthday. We went to his folks for dinner, so dammit, I had to be polite and all, but it was, "leave mummy alone now" as soon as I stepped foot back inside home!"

"...your best book, and just loved how so everyday life it felt. So often stories can be excellent, but how often does life really be peaches and cream without the crap life throws at us. You nailed that very well."
"I am missing my beauty sleep and I'm blaming you. I have forced myself to stop reading Building Us got to get some shut-eye!"

"This was kind of beautiful, Rick."
From the Author
I love placing real-life characters into vivid scenes set in dynamic locations and giving them a problem to solve. From there, I let them roll to see what happens. In Building Us, Evan and Dillon suffer through a New England winter. They bargain for more than they can by casting Deet--their dog you'll recognize from book one--in a Hollywood production shot in and around the Salem, Massachusetts area. I have a fascination with showbiz and love Salem--I lived there for many years. Bringing this all together was an absolutely fun time. I hope you like it. I wanted to make sure this book could stand on its own despite being a sequel. I didn't want to let those who loved Marketing Beef down but also didn't want new readers to have to have read it. Judging from the advanced readers' comments, I hit the mark.
