About the Author
Chuck Solomon owns and operates a successful home improvement business serving the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill) of North Carolina (see www.carolinahandyman.com). Mr. Solomon has been a handyman most of his life, starting at an early age by helping his dad and uncles with home projects. Even as he went to college and graduate school, and worked in the fields of non-profit management, consulting, information technology, and human resources, he continued to perform handyman/home improvement projects for himself and others. This guide is the result of his experience spending many hours starting and growing his own home improvement business. When not fixing things, Mr. Solomon enjoys hiking, kayaking, cooking, traveling and spending time with his family.

I have years of experience with simple to major home repairs - including electrical and structural. I have flipped a few houses, and still missed several of the key and very valuable points Mr. Solomon covers in this very light read. After the first of the year I will be kicking off the new business, and am certain that this book and the advice here in will improve my chances for success. All of the boiler plate forms he provides in the book are available on his website with registration.
