As a small business owner himself the author shares information and insights with an audience of his peers in a way that they can understand and relate to. No theory, just practical advice about how small businesses can plan and execute effective marketing campaigns. The book covers the importance of branding, understanding your customer, email marketing, social media marketing, mobile apps and how to measure the success of your marketing efforts.
One thing that makes this book unique are the contemporary examples used to illustrate principles with quotes and anecdotes from people such as Jay Z, Chris Rock, George Foreman, George C. Fraser and many others.
The challenge with any book on digital marketing is that some information will always be outdated by the time it is published. There is no easy way around this problem so marketers should use blogs to stay current.
If you want to learn how to do smart marketing on a limited budget, read this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone that needs help in making their business bring in the dollars. As a not for profit business owner, I have learned the importance of showing a prospective philanthropist the value that my business brings to them personally and why they should want to make a needed donation to my business. Just read the book there is so much more than I am able to express in this review. It will make you smile. It will make you laugh. It will make you money.
