After dealing with the County Sheriff's office GC flies back to Detroit and confronts+he younger Fama brother named Darko.
Darko and his bodyguard attempt to murder GC but strke out. GC is able to learn the where abouts of the Older Fama brother in Florida. The Fama's were hired by the lawyers in GC#1 to get revenge on GC for rescuing lawyer #4 who turned them in to the Feds for money laundering for the mob.
Fama and his thugs had kidnapped Crystal, whom GC had helped drop her drug addiction. They then took her to Florida, Where they killed her and dumped her body in the river near the home where GC was house sitting.
Instead of instilling fear this murderous act set The Garbage Collector into action in which he was able to add more stories to his reputation. He lived to enjoy another warm, sunny day
at the beach.
Be aware that once you start this book, you will probably not put it down again even if you smell smoke or if fire breaks out. The sentences are so clipped, the dialogue so spare, I found myself devouring the story just to know what was coming next.
Reading this sort of mystery is always a pleasure because pros like Dani Amore stick to certain formulas - there has to be some violence, there has to be some badness - but I've learned with this author to expect the unexpected. I love what this Garbage Collector accomplishes with a baseball bat.
Until you reach the end of the story, you are held hostage to your Kindle. Short, sweet, and explosive, this book delivers on its promise.
You will be happy you did. Just pure action with no time to think. Great snack food reading.
What else do you need to know about 'The Garbage Collector' short stories by Dani Amore? If you've never heard of her, you're a tad late to the party as she's written several books and a great handful of short stories as well - all affordably priced to read on Amazon Kindle. All of her stories have been incredibly fun to read and fast paced to keep you turning pages - 'Bullet River' fits very well in her arsenal and doesn't disappoint.
My only wish for the future of Dani Amore's writing is that she'll consider doing a cross-over as many of her lead characters would blend well in a mash-up. Oh, and maybe she'll stop spending so much time on Twitter so she can devote more time to writing -- yeah, it's true.. she's incredibly nice to her readers and responds to every message.
So give this (or one of her other books) a read and drop her a line to let her know what you think -- good or bad.. that's the only way these awesome indie authors can improve for their next book!
