The kid who steals lunch money, the overdemanding spouse, the boss who publicly berates an employee: no matter the age or the environment, if the cruelty they express is "frequent and systematic," they're bullies, say Jane Middelton-Moz and Mary Lee Zawadski. In Bullies: From the Playground to the Boardroom, the authors present interviews with the bullies and with the people they've abused; strategies to cope with (and avoid altogether) bullying situations; and analysis of playground, relationship and workplace bullies.

Top customer reviews
I wish I could give this book a 10. I wish that I had read it first as there wouldn't have been much need to read other books, unless one is engaging in scholarly research. I can't recommend this book highly enough and can't believe that it has not been reviewed before now. If you or your child are the victims of bullies, READ THIS BOOK! If your school, Scouts or other group is having a problem with bullying, READ THIS BOOK! It is validating and the mostly useful of all the books I've read to date.
Bullies is a must read for parents, teachers, students, youth group leaders be it at school, on the sports field, or in church. Managers of businesses, families and friends need to remember that being bullied does not end once we leave childhood. Learn how to recognize and acknowledge that one is being bullied, verbally, physically or through technology. The authors discuss how to recognize a bully and how to try to help them as well as the victims.
