Great rake. Period.

I was really tired of the head of my old bow rake always falling off. It made every single project annoying to the point of frustration. I vowed that I would find a better rake and buy it regardless of cost. Well, after a quick search, I found this rake. What initially sold me on the rake was the video showing a few men pulling with their full force on the head of the rake and it not coming off.

And let me tell you, that video was not a dramatization. I have put this rake through much abuse. I am a homesteader, and I have used it for many projects on my acreage. If it gets caught on embedded rocks (which are plentiful on my land) or a plant root, the HEAD DOES NOT COME OFF.

If you are a tall guy, get the one with the extra long handle (the 66" one). The extra reach that you will have is worth it.

My most hated tool (my old garden rake) has been traded out for one of my favorites (this awesome rake).

Well made, solid rake

I am a 70 year old woman and I love this rake. My last rake was not welded to the shaft and would come apart several times during a raking project. This rake is well made and looks like it will last a long time. As compared to my "big box" rake: the Bully rake weighs about the same and the handle is about 4" shorter. At 4'11", that is not a bad thing for me. Spent the morning yesterday spreading mulch and doing some garden clean up. The rake did what it was supposed to without coming apart every third pull.

Sturdy rake for general lawn care and moving rocks

This is a solid rake. I've used it to move river rock, dethatch my lawn and rake leaves. It is in the heavy side and very well made. However I bought a light leaf rake to save my back and am going to try a dethatching rake to see if it more effective. Overall a great product to have - especially if you are like me and own very few gardening tools.

One of many bully tools and not my last.

This is the fifth bully tools tool I've purchased and like the others, it is very well built, well designed, and does what you expect it to. I live in an area of Inland California that is rock city. Any time I plant something, dig up a gopher mound, or make a hole in general, I clean up all the rocks I pull up and throw them away and this bow rake (We call them rock rakes here), does a great job at being light enough not to fatigue the user while being heavy enough to stand up to the task, and some of these rocks are big!
The steel bow is riveted on to the handle solidly and can pull or pry very well. About the only negative I have with the tools is the fading to a pink color once the sun gets to them. They still work just fine though.

The rake is built like a tank

I have extensively used this rake to redo a rather large area of my yard after removing a patio and prepping the area for new grass. The rake is built like a tank. The action and angle are perfect for raking and leveling when you flip to the other side (I stand at 5' 10.5"). the only reason why I am not giving this 5 stars is because of the weight, it is on the heavy side and when you have a lot of area to cover you feel it. The good part about the weight is that it will hold up to heavy duty use and abuse, so if you are doing heavy duty yard work this is a five star for sure.

I really wanted to like this rake and I bought it based on the other reviews. The first time I took it out the handle ripped out of the head. The hole for the rivet that holds the handle in place was drilled right at the end of the handle. There was nowhere near enough material past the rivet to hold the handle in place. I jammed the handle back in and drilled a hole further up and secured the handle with a wood screw I had on hand. Seems to work fine now but I’m very disappointed in the quality of the product.

One of the best rakes I've ever purchased - based upon other reviews, I was initially sold, but sometimes that's not always my experience. Thankfully, my experience aligns with other reviews. Almost all of my other experiences with these style of rakes, is they usually fall apart pretty easily. Thankfully, this one is fiberglass (keeps it light) and very solid, with a screw that helps keep it together as well. I hope to continue to have this in use for many many years on our hobby farm in Northern Minnesota. I've ordered another, to have on hand, for multiple people to be able to rake.

This is a SERIOUS garden tool - it seems a little oversized for my use. Definitely larger than your typical garden rake and therefore heavier. Probably better for larger areas, not getting between things. Haven't really used yet, but I wish I had gotten one a little smaller as I am a petite woman and usually use this tool in a small garden.
