In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch.
Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams.
Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.See all Product Description

The watch comes in a nice Bulova box and it is wrapped around a tiny Bulova pillow on the inside. I can't wait to give it to my fiancé on Christmas!
Also, if you are shopping around for the best price, Amazon is the place to get it!
I actually ended up buying this watch at zales, which was kinda stupid because its a hundred dollars cheaper here on amazon, but with the time constraint i didnt have a lot of choice at the moment so i couldnt amazon it like i normally would have. but ive had it in a wishlist for some time waiting for the opportunity to buy it, and i guess that time is now.
It's got a hefty little weight to it because its steel, and it feels like it has some substance, not cheap and flimsy. It's also actually pretty shiny. the metal is glossy, not matte as it appears in the photo, and the mother of pearl is very faint, its not loud and pronounced like the photo indicates either. i had at first thought this was a different version of this watch model because the pearl was so loud in this compared to what i actually bought, but like another reviewer mentioned, it looks almost all black. this doesnt bother me though as the over-pearlized look was kinda distracting and would have been a little much considering the heft, sheen, silver accents and diamonds, the color just would have been too much.
what set this one apart from the rest was that the bling was understated. i saw a lot of beautiful diamond encrusted watches and ones with tons of dials and little weird counters and calendars on it, but this is mainly more of a statement piece. i tend to lean towards a classier, more simple, timeless look. doesnt need a ton of knobs bells and whistles, just elegant.Read more ›
My husband’s favorite thing about it is that when the light hits it from different angles, the diamonds shimmer :)
