For me...cloth diapering is all about ease of use and saving money. Yay for environmentalism and all that...but that's secondary for me. Buying throw away diapers annoys me. But trying to follow the long list of recommendations that often accompanies cloth diapers is also totally annoying. So I kind of do it the easy way...

We are on our 2nd child in cloth diapers. With both kids, we used a couple different covers...proraps probably being the main one (they are super cheap and really take a beating). The Bummis Super Whisper Wrap is also really nice though. I don't like messing with diaper covers that have snaps...they're such a pain in the rear compared to any of the ones that just use quick velco. The Bummis fits nice and snug, doesn't have the plasticy feel of proraps, they seem very durable and I like that you can just fold down the velcro tabs when you put them through the wash. They also don't seem to stain as easily as some of the other covers.

We used them with both chinese and indian prefolds. And I never bothered with pins or insert pockets or anything like that. I just fold the diaper in thirds and lay it inside the cover. I've yet to have a problem doing it that way.

I've also never followed any of the directions when it comes to washing these or any other diaper related items. The diapers, covers and cloth wipes all get tossed into a diaper pail with a lid and washable liner. When it's time to wash them I pull out the liner and dump the whole stinky mess into our front load washer. I run a rinse cycle and then the sanitize cycle (which is almost universally NOT recommended by most diaper cover makers). Then the whole batch goes into the dryer set on the highest setting. In other words...I beat these covers as hard as I possibly can...

And they still keep holding up.

We have been using whisper wraps since our daughter was born and have no complaints. The wraps prevent leaks unless the diaper is super soaked. We love the adjustable velcro tabs, and the medium fit our daughter when she was about 3 months and still fit her now, at 8 months and 20 lbs, with room to grow. The wraps wash clean every time no matter what nastiness gets on them (we spray them with Oxy Clean spray before they go in the washer) and dry fast, in the dryer or on the line. They are easy to use, which makes cloth diapers less intimidating to babysitters and others who are only familiar with disposables.

this is a super easy to use cover, can be used with pins or snappi, and can also be used with just a tri-fold or inserts. i have had the velcro come undone ans the front of the diaper with the long strip of velcro come undone. my little one is a scooter not a crawler and this could have something to do with it. plus she is only in a diaper at home. pants might have aliminated the problem. this is a great cover for all sized babies...

Got this to go over my pocket diapers at night to cut down on leaks. It goes over the nicely and gets very snug. Leaks are minimal to none when I get it one right. It is easy to launder.
