even though I purchased 3/29...was able to install until last weekend...what a nightmare. the hinges would not allow the gate to open all the way and ended up pulling the bolts for the top hinge out of the post. Found a way to hang it using the bolt hook that came with the gate. So after modifying the bolt hook to fit in the hinge supplied by you we continued the installation. after that had issue with the clamps on the cable for the bump mechanism and ended up having to cut the small cable to remove them and replace it all with new cable and clamps. Finally got the latch post in and found the bolt we modified had turned throwing the gate off and had to re-dig that post hold out several times until we got it aligned. then got the to post set for holding open the gate gave the system a try with our bare hands. the gate swings way too fast slamming into and bouncing off the latch at least once before finally latching. both hinges are as far apart as possible which as I understand means that there is no way to slow down the gate. From the gate hitting so hard the bottom hinge twisted on the gate and had to be re-centered while tightening the C bolts back up It broke meaning we have to replace more parts from this "kit".
So for a quick recap the top hinge that came with it was made incorrectly and only allowed to gate to swing to about 70 degrees instead of the 90 degrees it is supposed to be. the gate swings far to fast, kind of wonder if the bottom hinge is wrong too. The cable and cable clamps had to be cut off and replaced because the couldn't be loosened or tightened. Also have already had 1 C clamp break and the gate has only been up for 6 days keep in mind it way hanging for 6 days but was and is unusable. I do not know how this gate would be able to stand up to daily use see how many issues there have been just with the install.
