These are not "art's and craft's" pipe cleaners. These are stiff with both thicker wire and much, much stiffer bristles. If you need to clean an actual pipe forget the other kind and pick up some of these. They are also stiff enough that I find I don't need to use as many, saving money. They get the job done quicker, saving time. Let the kids have the lime green ones.

Works awesome with Pax vaporizers. Fits perfectly and it does not hurt your hands when you grip them like some others do when you try to clean. Of course, it's not a toy so do not make arts & crafts but it's great for professional use. I do recommend.

I actually use these to clean the extractor tube on my M4 rifle. My main concern was that the cleaner had to be solid and durable enough to pull carbon build up out of tight metal chambers. These cleaners are awesome, rugged and stiff enough to get the job done. No more cheesy craft pipe cleaners that fall apart; this is the real deal.

They are stiffer than the pipe cleaners you buy at smoke shops which is nice but they do still bend of course, they aren't magic. They cleaned my pipes perfectly and I only had to use about three of them compared to about 6 or 7 of the other popular brand in a yellow package that you buy at smoke shops. They do not leave poofy bits as with other pipe cleaners either, which is very nice.

These are harsh and strong cleaners. Don't give them to the kids because they will poke holes in their hands if they try to make little pipe cleaner animals out of them. Also do not use them in your ears as they are not q-tips

Use these for serious cleaning of pipes. I've used them a few times to clean out my infrequently used pipe but have found them to be effective in removing all the junk stuck in the pipe that didn't make it's way into my lungs.

I bought these to clean my Pax by Ploom portable vaporizer. They probably worked better than the pipe cleaners that came with it. Great value seeing that on their website you get 20 for 12.99. Overall completely satisfied and will definitely use again but with how many they give you, I'm sure it will be a while.

These are really great pipe cleaners if you really want to clean out a gummed up pipe. The core is stiff to help you apply some elbow grease to those hard to get to areas. I have never crafted with these type of pipe cleaners, but I would recommend buy the craft ones if you really want to buy something for crafts.

Pros:
Stiff core
stiff bristles
great size for pipes

Cons:
none really

I bought these to help clean out the plastic re-usable straws that come in those clear plastic cups. I went with the hard bristles since most of mine are stained with tea. I probably should have bought the medium. The hard bristles work great, but even with my calloused hands the bristles hurt to hold after awhile. Overall though I am happy with the purchase. They cleaned the majority of the buildup off really quickly and now it doesn't look like I am drinking from a dirty cup.
