mystery. The books had a special learning technique to
encourage Christians about every day life and how to handle
situations with the help of God.
For example, she describes unrepentant homosexual or professing " Christians " who are NOT given New Testament church discipline. That would never happen in a Baptist church that was practicing the Bible faithfully. We certainly discipline other sins, per command of Scripture, including fornication, adultery, etc. After three times of church discipline, if they fail to evidence their repentance, we have to disfellowship the church member.
Also she says that there are " Baptists " that range anywhere from fundamentalist, very conservative to liberal, progressive. We are conservative fundamentalists. I know of no " Baptists " who are liberal, progressives who have stayed in the Baptist church. The reason being is that the Bible, rightly understood, is the most narrow, conservative book one will ever study. And divinely inspired.
Liberal, progressive interpretations are error, and Biblically are subject to the correction above. Also in another book she writes about a woman " pastor, " which is against the clear teachings of the Bible. ( And I am a true believing woman. ).
There are so many wonderful, Biblical ministries for true believing women, I was appalled at this. Her character Bunny does not witness to the lost, also. Her " faith " seems weak, and compromising. She is willing to live in sin with a lost man! Which is a very grave sin.
Finally she uses politically correct language. However, true believers are NOT PC, as these language changes come from a communist agenda. And or a sinful agenda of lost folks who are trying to get us to " walk with the world. ".
We are commanded to be holy, and not " be conformed to the world. "
So, she has committed a number of errors contrary to clear Biblical teachings and practice. Also seems to be trying to misrepresent the Baptists faith.
So, I would recommend true believers of whatever denomination would only be distressed by her errors, and not read her books. Also that her pastor should reprove her errors, asking for her to repent.
Thus I strongly do not recommend her books for a true believer. For a nonbeliever, they will give a false representation of true, Biblical Christianity.
