When Buster lets them all know it has stopped raining his friends are getting to the good parts in their books and want to finish them! What do they eventually play/re-enact when outside? Everything they have read about in the books!
Our kids do exactly the same. If they read a good book, they will imaginary play those people and scenes for days. Wonderful book to share with your children.
I enjoyed how Peter wove Buster's reading into the activities his friends enjoyed to entice them to read too.He easily convinced them and they "got hooked" .
Once again Peter Bently has shown us how stories promote imagination as seen with Buster and his friends when they played outdoors after reading.
I encourage you to always read to your child It is an activity you can take with you anywhere.
