Shannon Esposito lives in a magical gulf coast town with fluorescent sunsets, purple dragonflies and the occasional backyard alligator. Buried in the Dark offers a dark tale focused on a woman who was once an investigative reporter who feels compelled to learn the story of a woman whose remains turned up during her story prep for a national wildlife magazine. Living at wildlife sanctuary among the most likely suspects brings the story close, maybe too close. A little too intense for this cozy fan, but a really good book.
