Thinking that she might very well be paralyzed or some other way challenged, she was surprised when she discovered she can see and communicate with ghosts. And because ghosts are distracting, if nothing else, she became a Private Investigator, who happens to specialize in the Paranormal.
I've been with Mary since her very first investigation. Not only is she one though cookie but she is witty, funny, and tender hearted to a fault.
I always read her adventures in one sitting because there are never any good stopping points; her days bring genuine laughter, nail- biting- edge- of- my- seat worry and anticipation, and sometimes anger and tears for the poor souls that come to her for help.
Mary O'Reilly always gets her man, with the help of her beautiful family, amazing friends, a really sexy and mysterious guy who she comes to know very well, and, oh yeah, some pretty kewl ghosts!
I don't ever want Terri Reid to stop writing. I will always want her to tell me One_More_Story !
Mary o'Reilly is pregnant and still trying to meld her new ready made family into a cohesive loving family unit. There was not much on Ian and very little on Rose and Stanley - this book was more focused on Mary and Bradley working closely together as a set. I enjoyed this.
Mary, along with Bradley, come into contact with the seediest of evil people and those that just don't believe her gift. Mary's struggles to bring justice to a small child reveals how evil these people were and how far they went. It was probably the darkest of all her books.
I cannot wait for the next book. Ms. Reid is an excellent story teller and artist - her words paint her story as if you are living them.
In spite of that it is still a light read and an enjoyable adventure.
