I’m speechless. It was intense and every bit amazing.
This was the usual exciting mystery and suspense but then it added additional twists that leaves you stunned.

“Just one more chapter...” This is what I repeated to myself over and over into the middle of the night. Lack of sleep, bags under my eyes, eyes heavy.
I just kept wanting to see what would happen next.

Someone in town has been arrested for cold blood murder. One that no one would have expected.
Carly is determined to find out why and if there is a tie to Bart Drummond which could bring more evidence to help her bring him down. She of course digs into so many secrets she needs to sort out which ones to focus on. Secrets that no one would have guessed.

I absolutely love how the author takes you on an investigation to find all these clues, your mind can’t resist going into different scenarios to figure out the mystery yourself. I think that’s what makes it so much fun is trying to figure it out with the information you come across.
Once you think you figured it out... BAM! There is an unexpected event Think things are leveling out and you are thrown for another loop and your jaw drops. But that’s not all, let’s add another hook into the storyline.
This was emotional but so well written that it leaves you with a book hangover.

Highly recommend reading this book as well as the series if you haven’t already started. It will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I absolutely love the Carly Moore series. Maybe it's because I love mysteries and find these so gripping. I legit read it in one sitting. Of course, it helped that I was sidelined with COVID at the time! Actually, the only thing that COVID helped me do was to be able to devote time to reading. I didn't have to make dinner, or do chores, or go to work, or anything. Which, I'll be honest, the only good thing about getting sick was how little I had to dabble in "responsibilities." That being said, I would NOT recommend getting COVID in order to shirk your business. It's totally not worth it.

Ms Swank continues to turn up the heat and set Carly's feet closer to the fire in this installment. Carly is still trying to make life in Drum work as long as her end goal is unmet. She is trying to keep all her ducks in a row in a small town, while trying to convince everyone that there are no ducks. She thinks that she's doing a great job until someone she least suspects calls her on it. Carly is also trying to keep her heart out of matters as all it will do is complicate things. Hopefully by the end of this series, Carly will get a HEA as she definitely deserves it.

I finished Buried in Secrets a little while ago and I'm still just sitting here in awe and a little bit emotionally drained. Such an incredibly amazing book! I feel like I’ve been on an emotional rollercoaster ranging from happiness, laughter, fear, surprise, sadness and the list goes on. It is suspenseful and keeps you turning the page. Just when I thought I had figured things out it went a different direction I hadn't seen coming. Denise continues to surprise me with how she can weave such an intricate and engaging story. And that ending.... it's gonna take a while to recover from this book hangover.

While I’m beyond happy that Carly is learning to trust again and put her heart out there; I’m also worried that something awful is going to happen. I absolutely adore Marco and can’t get enough of him. I feel like Carly and Max’s friendship began to make a pivotal turn; they connected more and I hope that Max will help her anyway that he can. And I’m anxious to find out what Hank isn’t telling Carly. Will it be too much for her and cross her line?

This book and series are engrossing and entertaining. Don’t miss out, pick it up now.

Aaaaaaah!!! This installment was absolutely incredible. I just love Carly. I love seeing her heart for her former career and that she has found a way to use those gifts while she's incognito in Drum. I love that she is like a dog with a bone when she knows something just doesn't add up. I was ridiculously happy when she decided to go all-in with a love interest, and so far that relationship is living up to every expectation I had for it. I feel like we are getting to know Carly more and more with each new book, her strong sense of justice and her faith that things can maybe work out okay once a couple of obstacles are dealt with is so, so compelling to me. I think I've felt all the feels along with Carly on this adventure- from soaring highs in her romantic life, to the deep lows of pain and grief, and a heart that breaks for the brokenness she sees in the lives of her neighbors and patrons of the tavern. She is such a fully fleshed out character- Denise, you should be so, so proud of this book and for bringing attention to the crimes that all too easily are swept under the rug and purposefully overlooked. I cannot wait for more!

We re-join Carly three months after the end of the last book. Drum, Tennessee has been quiet, but this never lasts for long.

Everyone appears two-faced in Drum. They have their public face and hidden side, always buried in secrets. The plot draws you into an emotional rollercoaster where Carly is technically still hiding from her father. Yet, she can’t help but keep drawing attention to herself.

The characters are so realistic and human, they’re easy to connect with. Carly has grown in strength again, and I’m also really liking Marco, not that he has proven to be trustworthy. Carly’s loyalty is her most important quality but also her greatest weakness.

This continues to be such a gripping series. Carly continues to grow, and the series is full of romance, mystery, intrigue, friendships and crimes.

Holly Molly what an emotional rollercoaster! I can't believe I just finished reading Buried in Secrets and here I am sitting emotionally exhausted after this wild drive and waiting for the next book already because it was soooo good and it doesn't cover at all how I really am feeling. I am so invested in Carly Moore series and each next one book is better and better than the previous one even if I absolutely loved and said the same before. Incredibly amazing!
Love Carly, she is my favorite heroine now quite a badass with a pure heart and soul. Love to see how she's grown since the last book and gaining her strength to be able to truest someone again. Carly is not the only one loveable person. I really love and admire Marco now that he's proven to be trustworthy. All the other characters are perfectly imperfect or imperfectly perfect I'm not sure which is truer but they are all so real and human as they come.
The action packed, suspense, mystery and love and sorrow and a lot more with twists keeps you engaged in to story guessing just to be proved wrong.
I think everyone is going to love this book!

I'm crying embarrassingly too much while reading this series for a sideline character!! How did I get so invested? Thank goodness I'm reading the Kindle version because a physical copy of Denise's books would just be a wrinkly soggy mess!
The characters are real, Carly's loyalty to everyone she meets it's her strongest quality and greatest downfall. I love how you always feel while reading that she is being dragged in so many directions at once and never knows whether she should be saving herself to keep her loved ones safe or staying put to defend them herself! Her heart and courage is huge even though she is fearful at times, especially fearing losing her new friends at the hands of her powerful enemies.

I really did not enjoy this book at all and forced my self to read it till the end. It was going no where and the plot wasn’t that exiting to execute a good story. I’m a huge fan of the Rose series and was hooked from the first few pages and I really look forward to the next book, but unfortunately the Carly series aren’t really doing anything for me. And for someone who’s on the run and left everything behind and got a brand new identity she sure knows how to draw attention to herself by sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. I’m sorry but I doubt that I would purchase the next Carly book.

Honestly I don’t know how to put into words how my emotional state is after reading the 4th instalment in the Carly Moore series. This book is filled with love, laughter, excitement, danger and plenty of mystery. So many twists and turns that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with every page you read. You will fall in love with characters, you will have your trust tested and you will go through every emotion there is, but it’s worth it. I can’t wait to find out what happens next !!
