If you look at any of the You Tube videos about this album, Jon says "this is our latest album, but it's not our next." He admits some of these songs are old, written 8 years ago, and weren't good enough to make those albums, so they ended up here. There is no artwork, no lyrics, no pictures and no credits. He said it was delivered in a brown paper bag to the label. This album was done to fulfill the band's final obligation to Mercury and the last song, Burning Bridges, is dedicated to them.

Jon promises their next album, due in April, will be amazing. Stay tuned...

Bon Jovi had a rough time when Richie Sambora left the band. I thought that Bon Jovi was done but then Jon Bon Jovi made an announcement. This is an album that is the end of an era (the era with Sambora). This is an album to say goodbye to Sambora by releasing some songs that were meant for past albums. Jon Bon Jovi also announced that another album will be released Spring of 2016. I think that album will be great. Overall, this won't be there best album even Jon Bon Jovi knows that. These songs are powerful lyrically. I would recommend this album however I am excited for the new album in the spring!!!

Album is ok, but not great. Everyone needs to realize this album is being released as the final album with Mercury records to fulfill their contract. The songs are mostly leftovers from other albums. Burning bridges song is also written about the record company and clearly the relationship is not good. So, that is why there is no promotion of the album. There is a new album in the works for next year with all new material, with a different record company.

Fantastic album! While this is pretty much an album that would normally have been a disc in a box set being that the majority of songs are leftovers from previous albums save a few new songs, it still has the power of a normal release. Do not be put off by the way it is being advertised. This and another brand new album out in May or June of 2016!

Just some leftover songs. But which album the leftovers of each song are from?? We'll never know. The packaging is beyond horrible.
$10 to get a cd with just the band name, album name and titles of the songs. And then a cheap thin piece of cardboard with just the same.
No nice plastic case, no booklet at all explaining the songs, where they came from, a story behind them....nothing!
And then to top it all of, you still pay the regular $10 for the cd. With how fast and cheap this was put together, this shouldn't cost more than $5 or at the most, $7. I ordered this online and was beyond disappointed when opening the package and seeing this poorly put together album of extra's. I can't believe John was okay with this crappy way of releasing this album!

And as far as the songs go, i'd say there are a few good ones here and there. About 50/50, or maybe 60/40 at the most.

I know this is just an "extra's" cd, but come one. More thought and work should have been put into this for sure.

Bon Jovi by far is my all time favorite band. I love practically every single song they make. I've seen them in concert 8 times and can't wait to go again. That being said it was hard for me to give this a 4 star review, but I had to be honest. This CD was put out to fulfill their agreement with Mercury records and contained songs that were originally written for other albums, but didn't make the cut. It's packaged rather plainly, but when I buy a CD it's for the music not for the cover. Some songs lack their usual sound that makes them Bon Jovi, but others like We Don't Run hit the mark as to what you'd expect. I'm anxious for the release of their actual album This House is Not For Sale, due out later this year.

Some of the reviewers stated this is BonJovi's attempt to fulfill his obligation with his recording studio and it was just put together with songs never released but previously recorded. Also, that there are no words or pictures on the cover or inside the album this is all true, but it should not make a difference to BonJovi fans. All and all this is a great album there is only one song that is sort of off track for the group, but besides the one the rest is what you are use to. I'm not going to break this down song by song, but I will say I was not disappointed. This no frills album was also low cost and I am very happy I purchased it. I already have the next album on pre-order.
