I've been a devoted Youtube fan of Laura Cox for years. It has been a joy watching her work so hard to improve month after month, year after year to the point where she is now scary good. Unlike so many other Youtube guitarists she's not as much interested in shredding as she is getting into a groove, expanding stylistically and composing great songs, although she can pull off incredible John 5 licks when she's in the mood and has mastered every musical style from metal to classic rock to acoustic bluegrass.
This album is full of great musicianship and great songs. Her band is tight and her vocals are more confident than ever. Hopefully this album will elevate them to the next level where they can play festivals and tour the world - particularly the US. It's exciting as a music lover to see an artist grow and flourish day by day. Laura Cox has a great future creating NEW classic blues-rock. She is never shy to admit who her influences are. Pretty soon other artists will list HER as an influence.
