This is a very good read and it is a incredible chance to get some quality reading. In case you have read the Vampire for Hire story where she leaves the guy on a ship at sea, this is the guy :) Don't pass this up this is great stuff BUT the reader should be aware, in the fashion of JR Rain, this appears to be a short novel, because this book ends at the 65% mark and everything past there is teasers for future books and other books. What it really means is that there is a LOT of stuff added after the book itself.
NOTE: It should be mentioned that you actually get more original story of Samantha Moon in this book than you do in the latest collection called Blue Moon: A Samantha Moon Story which was a pleasant surprise to me as a reader and I hope we see more in follow-up books.
The World Building isn't much to rave about, because I still can't figure out how ordinary humans can manage to be effective Hunters of Vampires. If it's that easy, then Vamps should have faced extinction sooner. And unfortunately, the main character doesn't have much depth to him, so I didn't really care enough to get properly involved.
OK for a quick and easy read, I guess. I do have the second book, so I'll read it to see if things improve.
