This books need to be red but you got to read Love is a Fire first
5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Lyssa did not disappoint in the continuation of the Burning Lovesick series. Katy a new motger and widow of a NYFD fireman. Her heart once again is shattered due to the loss of a fireman on duty. Jesse, her late husband's best friend and fellow firefighter, has been there for her to help with her son & emotionally. As a widow of a firefighter this is expected the firehouse brothers are to take care of the wives of those lost with the rule of not relationship outside of that brotherly shoulder. After a year Jesse finally tells Katy he is in love with her. What will happen to Jesse after everyone finds out at the firehouse? What will the families think? Can Katy find love again or is she willing to love again after her second heart break? Will secrets pull them apart and open the door for other possibilities? One thing is for sure Katy is not lacking in support.
Katy really pissed me off in this book. I felt she was beyond selfish and needed a punch to the throat. She & Jesse both made bad decisions after their confession of loving each other but I feel Katy was absolutely out of line. So quick to emotional give up on one to move on to another. What kind of love allows to move on so quickly?
Lyssa did a fantastic job and I am looking forward to her next release.
