Since I discovered Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer, I pretty much quit using lipsticks altogether, and cut back substantially on use of lip balms as well.
My lips never feel dry or cracked, they get just enough moisture to feel comfortable and supple.
Yes, the color does tent to smear off easily and wears off maybe a little faster than ordinary lipstick, but it never feels dried up and shriveled on your lips, it never tastes bad or unpleasant... and I just simply re-apply it whenever necessary.
Love it, own variety of them (for home, for travel, for make-up bag on the go) and cannot imagine how could I live without them!
After finding out all the "stuff" that goes into make-up and skin care I decided that I was going to start buying natural and/or organic products. My first organic lipstick was nasty. Dry. Scratchy. And pricey... And now that we are headed into winter, the season of dry, unhappy lips. Ugh. I started covering the lipstick with a regular Burt's Bees lip balm, which almost did the trick. Then I found the Shimmers and decided to try to see if there would be enough color or if it would just be a glorified lip balm.
I love the Papaya shade. It goes on smooth with a touch of minty freshness and a bit of a tingle and gives a nice blush of color to my lips. It stays on, giving my lips happy, moist feeling through and beyond my first cup of coffee in the morning. I love how it makes my lips feel. I love the price. The only thing I do not love is a slight aftertaste. I wish the minty freshness continued. But. I'm totally content to live with that based on the overall amazingness of this little happy-lip-stick.
I'm going to try Merlot and Raisin to see if they are a nice touch of color, too.

Came individually without packaging...possibly because this product was a discontinued item.Published 7 months ago by Amazon Customer
So glad to find this. This color was discontinued. I like it because it odds a nice coral hue when used on top of other lipsticks and also good as a lip gloss.Published on July 16, 2014 by G. Rogers
Burt's Bees is an incredibly moisturizing lip balm/shimmer/gloss! Usually anything this moisturizing does not have the amount of color that this has. Read morePublished on March 29, 2014 by I'd rather be at the Beach
Love this product, but had a problem getting the color I wanted locally. It was so easy to purchase these on line at a price less than at the stores.Published on March 25, 2014 by Janet Gardner

I love it because it doesn't make my lips peel like lipstick does. The color was discontinued in the drug stores.Published on June 2, 2013 by Linda Allen
