He has been nominated three times for the Pulitzer Prize in distinguished commentary. Elias is the author of two books, The Burzynski Breakthrough: The Most Promising Cancer Treatment and the Government's Campaign to Squelch It (now in its fourth edition; also published in Japanese and recently optioned for a television movie) and The Simpson Trial in Black and White, co-authored with the late Dennis Schatzman.

    This is perhaps THE MOST IMPORTANT BOOK you will ever read about what is perhaps the most exciting breakthrough cancer treatment in the past century! Dr. S. R. Burzynski is on the cutting edge of a new technology he developed himself over the past 30+ years called 'antineoplastons'. As a young research at Baylor Univ., he discovered that cancer patients were missing some key proteins in their urine, proteins which are always in the urine of people who do not have cancer. Immediately realizing the importance of this fact, he decided to try and isolate these proteins and add them back into the bodies of cancer patients.     This man, this doctor has been in the fight of his life, after he has won others thier lives back. Even when every respectable doctor on the matter of cancer cannot cure a patient, is told they have a small amount of time to live with no hope, some have found hope, some have found the chance to fight for their lives and win. Why is it then that the one doctor who gave them and their families back what they thought was lost, is he attacked by our FDA and Big pharmaceutical Conglomerates having him bombarded with accusations of wrong doing and ethical breeches when even the judges responses after hearing the case remains the same? "What has this man done wrong, I see no reason for having to spend time on this nonsense...". Its a ride into the cure for cancer, and I assure you there is a cure with no toxic side effects, to why our own FDA would seemingly lister to Pharma ( the largest and only pharmaceutical conglomerate ) and wage attacks against a doctor who could put thier '$90,000,000,000 dollar a year cancer business; out of business. There is a lot to loose for Pharma, and they dont seem to want to give a cure for cancer out when things were going 'so well'...

    After reading this book (if I even get cancer) I will never allow a doctor to give me "kill'em therapy" (chemootherapy).
