Threw this on a new AR-10 as amusement. Went to the CMP in Talladega and zeroed it in at 100 yards. Went to 200 yards, very nice group. Had the range master bring up the 300 yard target. To my surprise, its grouped great at 300 yards. I figured I would be extremely lucky to keep it on the target at that range, much less hold tight groups close to bullseye. Now understand I had stayed at the same magnification number 4 during this time. I had the range master bring up the 600 yard target, and dialed the magnification to 9. It took me about 10 rounds to find where I needed to be on the drop compensator, but when I found it, I was able to drill the black consistently. I was floored!!!!! Can't beat the performance from this $65 scope!!!!! I just may end up hunting with this setup.

Great budget scope for the nearsighted!

For my purposes, this scope is a great value. I wear glasses and noticed that anything above 3-4 power with my fixed parallax scopes would render the target and thus the bullet holes very blurry at close rimfire distances. The adjustable objective solves this for me. Dial in the target distance using the AO, and I can use all the magnification I want. The target stays in focus perfectly. Sighting in was fine - turrets respond well to adjustments even if they’re a bit sloppy feeling. Nothing terrible, but if you’re used to higher priced scopes that may bug you. Illuminated reticle works well, but not sure how much I’ll use it.

It’s packaged in a plastic clamshell, not a traditional box. The boxed version costs $30-40 more, and because this was just a test, the savings was worth it to me. Mounted this on my savage 93r17 with heavy barrel using medium rings. While there’s clearance between the bell and barrel, it’s not a lot. You may need to use high rings depending on your particular rifle. It takes up quite a bit of real estate, so take note of the dimensions.

Bottom line - if you’re searching for a budget scope with decent clarity, lots of features (AO, illumination), and a lifetime warranty, I think you’d be hard pressed to find a better option at this price.

This scope is a great buy. The light transmission and optical clarity on the high end aren't as good as a Vortex or Leopold, but you can not go wrong with paying less than a quarter of the others' price. This scope holds zero through the kick on my 30-06. The parallax adjustment makes both close and long shots much more clear than a fixed parallax design. The parallax also allows the magnification to remain clear through all the powers. Despite being a bit large and bulky, this scope gives you excellent performance for a low price.

i almost bought a hammers scope but only 12x
the 16x on this is pretty clear once you play with front focus.
