This review is for the Bushnell Banner 3-9x40x Multi-X rifle scope with 3.3 inches of eye relief. This optic is best suited for casual target shooting and medium-large game inside 250 yards. The low magnification and 40mm objective lens makes it an appropriate choice for shooting at a moving target if need be. The zoom dial is smooth as is the eye focus piece. I found found the 3.3 inches of eye relief to be sufficient for the 30 caliber military rifle I mounted it to. But, if you do manage to get "kissed" by the eye piece it is coated with a rubber ring.

Tracking: 90% consistent and reliable. Clicks are tactile and audible.
Durability: Fired 160 rounds of 30 caliber ammunition with no shift in zero or any issues.
Waterproof and Fog proof: Unable to comment.
Clarity: On a scale of usable, terrible, average, above average, excellent and exceptional it rates average. Make no mistake, this scope is not equipped with the highest quality glass on the market.
Parallax adjustment: None. There is a noticeable amount of parallax present in this optic. Attention must be paid to where the shooter places his/her head on the stock of the rifle for consistency to be achieved.

In short this seems to be a great bang for your buck product; it is simple and gets the job done. I would recommend this product mostly to deer hunters and weekend target shooters.

Bushnell scopes have always been a good value. The Banner 3-9x40 has good optical clarity with a large eyepiece that gives a big picture that I like. This is not the same as saying "wide angle" - it's like having a larger TV in front of you. Edge to edge sharpness is very good. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Got this scope to replace a scope that had seen better days on a rifle I had received from a family member. Quality scope for not a whole lot. It is able to use minimal light. Enough so that I had to pass on a shot that I could have made simply because it was too early in the day.

Owned this scope for 2 seasons. Mounted on my RRA AR15. I was initially please with this scope. Made in Korea, zoomed smoothly, versatile, stayed tight on the mounts and consistently accurate. After putting about 500rds through it I was amazed that the crosshairs fell apart. That's right. The crosshairs literally fell apart. The lens were fine, scope was never dropped or abused. Looking through the lens the crosshairs simply scattered. Weird. I liked the scope I paid $79.99 retail, and it appeared to be top quality. It held up well. I guess too many rounds went through it. Pretty disastrous failure if your'e hunting for food. Maybe pay more and get something rated for more use.

The deer are in trouble the last hour when I would have to quit before. This is a great scope for the money.
I have used this in the woods for a couple weeks and it still is amazing. I even compared it to another scope my daughter has and we both said the Banner wins. We were looking down a logging road/foot path about 1/2 hour after sunset. We could both still see leaves on bushes and blades of grass at about 50 yards. Her scope, which is a more expensive model and a different brand, was not even close to the detail we could see with the Banner. If you hunt very early or very late in the day, this is the scope you would want. I am sure there are more expensive scopes that could match the Banner, but I think you would be paying for something you do not need. I firmly believe this scope will allow me to see a deer at the last part of legal light and make a good shot!

Only had it for a few weeks, sighted it in on my 22 rifle, used it twice hunting, all is great so far, great light gain thru scope at dusk.

The scope is probably more accurate then the gun, which is a Remington Apache nylon 66, a nice semi automatic, which only seems to group within a silver dollar at 30 yards (benched, but not locked in place..used five varieties of common .. all I could buy on my way home from work).
I'll be looking for a gun that can hold a tighter group, hopefully a semi automatic, but more then likely a bolt action.

This scope is great. i sighted it in very quickly the click adjusters are accurate, this went on my marlin 22 magnum and its perfect for it. when i went to sight in the sun was very bright and directly in my face the scope didnt pickup any of the glare the crosshairs are nice and thin, it comes only with scope covers. it works great when its basicly dark. you could probly see 100 yards at night under a full moon. it was better than my own eyesight. i woild recomend this to anyone.

After a lost shipment, a flood and USPS improperly routing my package, I finally received my scope. The scope appears to be all the reviews stated it was. Bright lenns, well made and seems to be a high quality product for the price. When I get to the range to sight it in, I will have a better grip on the quality of the scope, but I am well pleased as of now.
I would like to thank Mike Jegtone, of OpticsDeals for his continued support and communication through my order. He was professional and attentive through the entire process. His customer service skills made this purchase worthwhile.
I will, if I remember, follow up with more detail after a trip to the range, but as I said, I am very pleased up to this point with the scope and with OpticsDeals.
