From the Manufacturer
Bar none, it's the brightest scope in the world. Boasting 95% light transmission at 550nm, this is our top-of-the-line riflescope. Our exclusive, hydrophobic Rainguard lens coating - which disperses condensation into microscopic specks, allowing you to literally see around the moisture - ensures you won't miss that trophy buck because you breathed on your eyepiece or you couldn't wipe the rain away in time. All optical lens surfaces are fully multi-coated for the absolute maximum light transmission and the sharpest image. Fingertip, audible/resettable 1/4 M.O.A. adjustments make windage and elevation tuning quick and easy. The ultra-strong one-piece tube is hammer-forged from an aluminum and titanium alloy for 30% more strength than standard aluminum scopes -and to be sure it lasts, it is recoil-tested to 10,000 rounds of a .375 H&H Magnum! Finally, our Elite 4200 scopes offer some of the largest magnification ranges in the industry for optimum versatility in the most challenging hunting situations. In the world of big game pursuit, there are hunters - and there are serious hunters. If you consider yourself the latter, the Elite 4200 is the scope that does justice to your commitment.
The Elite Bullet-Proof Warranty assures you that Bushnell will repair or replace, at no cost, any Elite riflescope that becomes defective during normal use.
Specifications for this Bushnell riflescope include:
- Power: 8-32x
- Objective lens: 40mm
- Field of view at 1,000 yards: 14 feet at 8x, 3.75 feet at 30x
- Reticle: Multi-X
Magnification (Power): Riflescopes are often referred to by two numbers separated by an "x". For example: 4x40. The first number is the power or magnification of the scope. With a "4x", the object being viewed appears to be four times closer than when seen with the unaided eye.
Objective Lens Size: The second number in the formula (4x40) is the diameter of the objective or front lens. The larger the objective lens, the more light that enters the scope, and the brighter the image.
Field of View (F.O.V.): The side-to-side measurement of the circular viewing field or subject area. It is defined by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide angle binocular features a wide field of view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field of view.
Rainguard: Now the hunter won't miss the shot of his life by accidentally breathing on his eyepiece while aiming. Rainguard is Bushnell's exclusive, patent pending, hydrophobic (water-repellent) coating that causes condensation from rain, fog or snow to form in much smaller droplets than on standard coatings. Smaller droplets scatter less light resulting in increased light trans-mission and a much clearer sight picture. Also, water sheets off of Rainguard much more readily than off a standard coating.

Scope has been returned to Bushnell. The clarity and brightness
of this product are excellant, however,I would expect a scope
in this price range to be flawless.
I have the scope mounted on a new Air Arms EV2 mark 2 air rifle - which shoots very well. Adding the Bushnell has made for a great combo.
The optics are so clear and bright that it is possible to use the parallax ajjustment to 'range find' accurately from 10 yards upto the 55 yards target distance used in this sport.
Adjustable Objective (parallax adjustment) distance markings are spot on.
Build quality is exellent and turrets return to 'Zero' every time.
The only improvment I could wish for would be 1/4 moa clicks rather than 1/8 moa.
A suberb product at a really good price.
