Bushnell leads the industry with its high quality scopes and view finders. Trusted by the world over, whether you're an avid huntsman, military, or recreational user, Bushnell will fit the mold for everything.
Offering all you've ever wanted in a spotting scope, the Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 15-45x60 scope does everything but actually bag the B&C elk or spot the rare bird species for you. The Legend Ultra HD spotting scope has three key ingredients to help it stand out from the competition: ED Prime Extra-Low Dispersion glass, fully multicoated optics, and Bushnell's patented RainGuard HD water-repellent coating. ED Prime glass produces a color-tuned, high-resolution viewing experience, delivering the utmost in clarity and color fidelity in normal and low-light situations. The fully multicoated optics, meanwhile, reduce light loss and glare due to reflection, resulting in a brighter, higher-contrast image with reduced eyestrain. And the RainGuard HD coating protects your view during inclement weather by reducing large drops of water to near-microscopic specks. This dramatically increases light transfer and results in a remarkably clear image in wet weather. Whether you're dealing with rain, snow, sleet, or condensation, you'll enjoy a clear, bright view when other optics would be rendered useless.
The Legend Ultra HD spotting scope also offers stacked, dual-focus controls, so you can make both rapid and fine-tuning adjustments. And to top it off, the scope comes with a soft carrying case and viewing tripod. Other features include a 15 to 45x magnification range; BaK-4 porro prisms; long eye relief; a close-focus distance of 18 feet; and a straight zoom eyepiece.

The only reason for four stars is the horrible tripod that comes with the scope. It's like something from a kid's toy. I'd much prefer they left the tripod out, and gave me a case that fit only the scope.
-Good for targets to about 125 yds
-Very nice two-stage focus. I highly recommend this feature. It is a very sharp image.
-Very clear optics with no fringing
-Easy to see with at dusk and does not darken bad when magnified/zoomed at dusk.
-Very small and lightweight
-Excellent quality overall with bright lenses, scope covering, and case.
-Comes with a very nice short (table use) tripod. The tripod has a single screw, but that is OK.
This is made to fit a tripod mount without the second metal projection BUT works with one as it has a rubber foam area that absorbs it in the foam. It has a single screw hole and foam around it (some cameras have a screw hole and a keyway for a 2nd metal projection). This only has one screw but it works for both types since a key/post fits into the foam. If you have an older, taller tripod this should still work.
-The deal breaker is that this magnification will not see target bullet-holes at 150-200 yards very well, but it is good for larger objects than .30 holes
-Hard to zoom from low to high magnification. Not an easy task at all to look through an twist the eyepiece.
-Not good eye relief at high magnification. Can't wear glasses if you zoom.
I was considering an 11 x 33 50mm spotting scope and realize I cannot consider any zoom less than 45. Since I need about 60x I probably need an 80mm objective. So much for light-weight and lower price. This is a great scope with top quality bright optics but just is not strong enough X for me and is too-hard to adjust. I believe a 50 mm will just gather less light but it is the magnification that is the important factor for me. Higher magnification also requires a view finder of sorts. A 50mm will be more difficult to find the target than a 60mm but this is very hard to adjust the zoom and try to re find the target. I am sure it will loosen over time, but sight-ins are occasional. This is not for walking and bird watching. This is a great spotting scope overall. I recommend it for those that accept its limitations and need it for bigger things than I, I would not buy again as this does not have the spec's I need, and I hope this helps someone.
live by and it looks great. The center intersection is 1.3mi., it's as if I was standing on the curb. The field test will be this fall, I plan to buy the camera mount to take pictures of deer.
Follow update: 1/22/13 - Like in most reviews, the scope functionality and clarity is great - even at its maximum. All you need is to set focus slowly. No set of human eyes are similar so there may be slight variations for some people I can imagine. Ok - I already contacted Bushnell support via email on this issue - I see bubbles in the lens when scope is not focused on a view or object. They look like tiny droplets when scope is viewing a dark and very close object. The bubbles look impinged in the lens. You won't see them however if you are looking thru the scope normally. Now, I am not sure if this is a defect or normal for HD or coated lenses. I am still waiting for Bushnell's reply. I am considering a replacement or a return after further evaluation in a few more days. Tolerance, Tolerance..hmmm.

Have used it in the field and spotted a brown bear at 2000yrds when the binos couldn't make it out. (Hunting)
Great for bird watching and FANTASTIC for the moon/stars! Better quality than my telescope.
Clear and crisp sights in most situations. I gave it a 4 because even though bushnell has a 1 year buyback guarantee, it doesn't come close to the piece of mind of Vortex Warranty. Price is right! Cant go wrong here.
