2.0 out of 5 stars Fine, about what I expect at the price point.
By Tyler on April 8, 2018
This review is for the Powerview 8x21 Compact Folding binos, the cheapest in the line. I bought this for one of my kids, as I tend to avoid "toy" recreations of actual tools, and prefer to give them something actually useful that they might get more years of use out of.

First, as might be expected of something at this price point, QC and build construction seems to not be the best. There was an internal crack or possibly some foreign object inside of it. The focus knob has kind of a vague inconsistent movement. The included pouch, though it might break in, isn't very convenient to get them in and out.

Visual quality was fine otherwise, and I was actually surprised at how much 8x magnification actually is. I ordered a slightly higher magnification and larger objective lens version for my wife's bird spotting purposes.

I am awaiting a replacement, and will nudge up the rating assuming the replacement is mo' betta'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small enough to fit in pocket & powerful & clear
By Cats Cuddles on December 1, 2015
I bought the 12x25 & it is very nice! Small & powerful! I like that it has an attached neck strap, even if it is just a thin cord. It also comes with a canvas carrying case, with a velcro closure. I've been using it to view backyard birds & it is great for that & the adjustable focus works well. I could make out a car's license plate number from over 100yards away. I think these would also be excellent for concerts & sporting events. Next time I will go, I will take with & update my review.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality optics - when the thing wasn't falling apart or going out of calibration..
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 23, 2021
Received the box crushed, which obviously has nothing to do with the product but may have affected it as when I opened the box the eyepiece immediately fell off.. not good.

Anyway, popped it back on for now and had a look through the barrels. Pretty nice wide view with no chromatic abberation on the sides however the focus felt a bit.. off.. was quite finnicky to get right. I would calibrate it at a certain distance and then when I focused 20ft closer or further away the left and right barrels fell out of alignment completely.

The right barrel then completely fell out of alignment and wasn't even focusing at all no matter what I did. These were 34GBP and I ended up buying a cheaper pair after this happened (SGODDE 10x25 for 22GBP) and they were just so much better, smaller circles when you looked through but everything else, build quality, calibration and sharpness was far superior to this Bushnell one. Wouldn't recommend these Bushnell ones personally but I imagine that my box coming crushed means that the binoculars were knocked about quite a bit in transit.
