Product Description

Make a high-performance tactical decision. Bushnell's putting the most powerful optics in the world into the hands of those sworn to defend it. Elite Tactical. Designed alongside military and law enforcement experts, the optical superiority and unfailing reliability of this family has been further honed with a host of application-specific features. The new Bushnell Tactical XRS series of scopes are the next generation of high power riflescopes based on the popular HDMR/DMR design. The 4.5-30x 50 XRS (X-Treme Range Scope) scopes incorporate several improvements suggested by "professional" users who have extensively field tested Bushnell tactical scopes in the world's harshest environments. These first focal plane designs feature the new Z-Lok locking elevation turret complete with zero stop, .1mil per click and 10 mils per revolution of adjustment. The T-Lok locking windage turret now has L & R markings for more precise adjustability. The turret now feature powder coated stainless steel turret cap screws for the ultimate in concealment and corrosion resistance. These scopes have increased side parallax adjustment to provide a crystal clear image in extended and extreme range shooting applications. This mission-driven design is adapted to perform from the tightest quarters to the most extreme ranges. All for one purpose: So you can do what you do. To the warriors who selflessly protect our lives, you can always trust yours to Elite.

I bought this scope based on several reviews and opinions from competitive shooters. I took a look at several others including some that are even more expensive than the XRS. These other optics included vortex pst, vortex razor hd gen I and gen II, nightforce nxs, and steiner t5xi. None of them had a distinct advantage over the bushnell. In most cases the bushnell was better. The turrets are tactile (good feel and audible ). The zero stop works very well and is easy to set and reset. The ocular focus (reticle focus) is smooth and allows for edge to edge clarity of the reticle. The parallax knob (target focus) is also very smooth and functons just as any parallax knob should. The glass is great. Very crisp and clear. While some have said the image quality degrades at higher magnification levels beyond 20x, I do not notice much. @800 yards I could see a friend blinking. lol...As for the G2 reticle...awesome. ranging is dead on accurate. For the money I could not be happier. I mounted mine in a Spuhr mount, which is the absolute best mount there is...period.

First one had some problems which I would not have expected for a scope costing nearly $2K. The threads on the windage knob were cross threaded. This version came with a 4" sun shade. The replacement was not cross threaded and came with a 2" sun shade. Mounted it on rifle X, and took to the range for 600 yd. shooting. The Parallax adjustment brought the world nicely into focus at that distance, and the scope held zero on without issue. First Focal Plane was exceptional at long range for windage and elevation holdover. Optics were very clear and bright, which one would expect in this price range. Perhaps not quite as clear as Nightforce or Hensoldt, but not markedly different and at a better price point. The reticle is not illuminated which is a minor negative, but apparently illumination on an FFP scope would be complicated as opposed to a fixed reticle. Frankly, don't need more to break. Turrets are positive locking in down position, so no need to worry about inadvertent windage or elevation movement. Until you pull the turrets up, you are not adjusting anything.

I got this Scope by doing and extensive search on the net for the lowest price at $1199.99 which I thought was too good to be true but too good to pass up. I received the Scope and was very pleased to find out it was even the newest production which has the yardage markers on the paralax focus adjustment instead of just the dots as on the older runs and comes with the 2" sunshade instead of the 4" inch sunshade. Just a NOTE: PURCHASE A 20 MOA Mount for this Scope if your rifle doesn't come with a 20MOA Rail such as an AR Platform and it will pretty close to being zeroed from the Factory otherwise you will have to adjust the scope down to at least 20moa to get it close to zero for your AR rifle. As far as the scope goes it is a GREAT Scope for the money. Clear Glass but does tend to get a little darker at high magnification but not bad. This Scope had everything I wanted in a Scope except for illumination but I can live without that. BUY IT , You will like it.

Excellent scope great glass quality, repeatable adjustments, really fine cross hairs and plenty of light capture, bannging steel at 1k YDS WITH 308, one thing to mention the zero stop explanation in the manual sucks with regar to how to set it and how to remove it.

BEST MONEY you will ever spend... If you are shooting 1000 Yards, this scope is 4 U... The parallax numbers are right on... Dial in the known distance or when the scope is clear, the #'s on the parallax dial are right on... Clicking the turrets is crisp and well felt and well documented visually from a shooting position. An eagle does not see any better. I have the 30mm Bushnell scope as well... Both optics are great but this one is a tad better....
Some suggestions for 1000 yards.... Only zoom in to 15 thru 20X... You will get a great view of the range and will be able to see the targets and hits.... Any more is OVER Kill... Shooting steel, I can see the hits and the black splat on a white painted target.

This scope is keeps me on target out past 1,000 yards. It stacks up equally with my other tactical long-range scopes, but is less expensive. The G2 reticle is easy to use.

The scope is very nice and the clicks are tactile but the windage turrent is somewhat hard to pull out and it didnt seem to meet its price point.
