Kenman L. Wong (Ph.D., University of Southern California) is professor of business ethics at Seattle Pacific University. He is the author of Medicine and the Marketplace: The Moral Dimensions of Managed Care.

They deal with many intriguing concepts. One such concept is that our work is an altar to God. The concept of our work being an altar explores and brings constructive criticism to the notion of a sacred and secular divide for the Christian person in business. Consequently, we can deepen our awareness of business as a calling, whereby business persons offer their work as service to God in the marketplace.
The authors skillfully undertake topics such as the global economy, ethics in the workplace, marketing, leadership and management. This book will provide many good insights for business folks, students considering careers in business and clerics who desire to understand the business world and the role the Christian person plays in our complex and needy world. In the authors' own words "For business professionals, seeing business as something more than its instrumental (moneymaking) value has profound implications for how we might approach work" p.31.
Business in the 21st century is complex and faces many challenges. The book explores some of the emerging directions in business with discussions on the Business as Mission movement, and new legal corporate structures such as the B-Corporation status for organizations.
