However, the copious (almost 30) success stories that follow really create something very special. With government, corporate and not for profit sectors represented, and with stories from all corners of the world, this section of the book provides real world examples of how to drive PMO success as told by the people who actually delivered that success. This isn't just theory, it's proven approaches that work, presented in a way that helps the reader understand why different approaches worked and how success occurred. There is something here for everyone and even leaders of effective PMOs will find opportunities here for further growth.
The book is presented in a very accessible and readable style that makes it easy to access and embrace. It is a thoroughly entertaining and thought provoking read and is now also a go to reference for me.
