About the Author
Sherry Boykin, M.A., is the founder of But-Kickers: Growing Your Faith Bigger Than Your “But,” a ministry that helps women rise above the “buts” and doubts of life and trust God for the otherwise unbelievable. Sherry’s experiences in inner-city ministries, as a jungle missionary to Peru, and as an old maid who dated twenty years before finding her Mr. Right, provide a striking backdrop for her storytelling talent. She lives with her husband, daughter, and fifty dorm sons in Northeast Pennsylvania.

As one who loves using humor to teach spiritual truth, I was hooked from the first page to the last. With pun-intended, edgy chapter titles and thought-provoking insight, Sherry's wisdom will entertain and inspire you to become more like Christ. "Profile Me, Please," her hilarious story about well-intentioned friends arranging blind dates for her (a single missionary) had me laughing out loud! And her challenging "A Call to Biblical Manhood: Whose Job Is It to Keep Your Pants Up?" has a more twists than an Elvis impersonator.
Don't let a "But" determine what you think God can or cannot do, or what He does or does not want you to do. His word is true--without any buts.
Sherry’s unique story telling gift is inspiring, uplifting to all women who encounter similar struggles in our need to give and receive the nurturing and love we all seek. But-Kickers’ is a HOW TO patiently live life open to acceptance of who we are and acceptance of others.
Sherry opens your mind to see the other person’s point of view, perspectives you did not or would not consider. You will laugh out loud, cry and honestly relate to the stories she bravely shares with her readers. And yes, you will go back and read it again and again, because she tells it like you need to hear it when the doubts, fears and unbelief come knocking! Trust God for His promises He is Faithful
