I love the stories and characters, else I wouldn't have read this far into the series. However Macy is a bit overboard man hungry....no wonder one doesn't stick around. Georgie and Junior are way way too ovrboard! I am sure they are the most loyal and faithful friends, but ecsentricities (can't figure how that's spelled right now) are just too much, especially their lack of respecting others' space. I certainly couldn't continue to befriend them. Way too much!!!!

Halloween has come around again and it is spookier than ever. An old, scary doll and a murder to start. I enjoyed spending time with all the familiar characters, especially the animals. Then there is the will they or won’t they. Does Emmie finally find out Bizzy has been listening in on her thoughts? I highly recommend this book!

Butchered After Bark is the tenth book in the Country Cottage Mystery series, it is part of a series, but could be read as a stand alone and you would be just fine. This series is about Bizzy, a fun quirky Inn manager that loves her quaint little home town Cider Cove. When is not your normal run of the mill manager when Bizzy was younger and almost drown she gained the ability to read minds. This has been a blessing and a curse. The last book ended with Bizzy and Jasper getting married and leaving for their honeymoon.
Just as they return to the inn they are greeted by the craziness that the month of October brings. Not expecting all that has happened since leaving for her honeymoon, when Bizzy pulled onto the property she wasn’t sure all that she’d find. The further she went the more and more was happening. After finding Emmie she found out that they were the new locations for the local farms fright fest. But something was still feeling off with Bizzy. And her feeling didn’t fail her as something sinister happened that night, another murder. But this time the main suspect was non other than the person she hoped would disappear from her life. Will she choose to help her or let the murder clues point to Camilla and leave it be?
