One day, I'm looking for your typical peanut butter and I come across this product. I like the fact that more healthy things go into this product than all the sugar and what-not in typical peanut butters. I decided to give it a try and lo and behold, I really enjoyed it. But the downside is the fact that it's a lot more expensive and uses more resources to make it than the usual peanut butter. I can justify it, if I only add it to my grocery list once in a while. I believe this is healthier for you than peanut butter.

I have gotten this from Amazon for the past two years with no problems. However, when I ordered it in December, I received the hazelnut spread. Amazon refunded my purchase. I ordered it again. Again, I got Hazlenut. Amazon was not going to refund it this time, but they did after contacting customer service. I tried it one more time and this time I got vanilla almond, which I absolutely hate because I do not like the flavor of vanilla. So something is getting messed up in the warehouse. The last one was actually labeled on top as honey almond, but the label on the front of the jar said vanilla almond. I opened it, I tasted it, and just gave it to my sister. I’m fearful of ordering it again because I’m fearful the same thing will happen so I ended up going to the grocery store which had not had it for a long time, but now has it back on the shelves. Honey almond is really a delicious flavor and I hope that the bug in the system here is soon worked out.

I really liked the flavor. The texture was thick which is good because you know that a bunch of things weren't added. It is a little tough to get it mixed well after it's been stored and shipped, but that's the nature of natural products like these so it's not a bad thing it just takes a little muscle. lol

Love Justin’s almond butter. I accidentally bought the honey flavored. Super yummy, BUT I personally can’t have the added sugars, so just watch out when getting flavored nut butters. The classic is fine. Also with no stir nut butters, palm oil adds additional calories and fat, so just know if your diet can tolerate. Justin’s is a great treat, but I need to stick with natural no additive (sugar, palm) nut butters on the reg.

I wasn't able to be my usual Maple Almond Butter, so I tried the Honey. First, it doesn't taste as good to me (obviously a personal choice issue), but I was mainly disappointed to read the ingredients and saw it contains sugar as well as honey. Why? The honey should be enough of a sweetener and it is much more healthy.
Mostly, though, what I really want is the Maple Almond Butter.

Got this product with a lot of separation, had to use some muscle, if you have arthritis, you should use a device like a mixer which can handle the thickness.

The honey isn't enough, I am watching my sugar so to me this is not a negative, per se, but why have it? Extra calories and carbs for no added taste. Maybe add filtered honey, to reduce the thickness, and add a binding agent for the oil, the look can turn off buyers and the mixing isn't exactly easy-peasy.

I have mentioned the coconut oil separates from the mix, causing hard almond mush to coagulate and you have to strong arm it, there are binders which can help with that, but then you lose the organic label. I am assuming this is perfect coming out of the blender, and simply doesn't keep well in a jar.

Bottom line is; this is a nice product for the price. If you are going for a lower fat alternative, this may be a good substitute for you. However if you are trying to reduce carbohydrates, this may need the extra sugar to mellow out the thickness and taste. It is very dry and sticky, a little goes a long way, which makes this a good value, but my verdict here is: Average, balanced, can be fixed at home.
