NOTE: This button assortment will help repair a few failing buttons in most devices that use rubber contact switches. However, because there are countless different devices and endless possible keypad designs, no universal kit can solve every problem with every keypad. These repair pads are meant to be used by technicians and experienced do-it-yourself-ers. To know for sure these will work you should open your device and inspect the keypad for design and size. If there is anything between the rubber keypad and circuit board contact such as a white film, LED strip, clear plastic light pipe, etc.. these things could cause problems that a universal button may not be able to solve. That does not mean the product is not as described or does not work. [25 Button Kit] Permanently fix buttons in most devices that use rubber keypads. Tested over 1 million button presses! I had never heard of this product before but congratulations to the inventor. Little stickers with carbon that refresh the contact of worn out circuits. I have had this problem in the past but usually gave up on the remote control or gadget and replaced it. I have had issues with alarm keypads that I have already replaced . The Keypad can be $150 . Buttons started failing. I would have to press really hard to get it to work. Eventually they started all failing. I changed the alarm code to skip the failing buttons. When the time came to put codes and buttons didnt work the alarm would go off. Frustrating!! - I opened the keypad, cleaned it thoroughly, circuit board was clean and rubber pad perfectly aligned. STILL Didnt work!!! I ordered this product , followed instructions, peeled the sticker placed it over every button on the keypal, Assembled it and - BOOM - It worked to Perfection. A slight touch of the button gives of the sweet sound of a "BEEP" - I just coudlnt believe it. IT WORKS - I am so happy and thankful I just had to come back and write a review to thank the inventor and help others fix their problem. Great product. Congrats!

I absolutely love this solution! I have a mechanical bed and I was slowly loosing the ability to use functions of the bed! This past week I had enough and started to look for a new way to fix the remote. My bed is a discontinued model, so I had to fix the remote, or buy a new frame. I was skeptical about buying this product for fear it was junk. I took a chance and I am glad that I did. The remote that needed repair was to my Bose Lifestyle AV-18 sound system. With out this remote I would have had to control the volume from the head end device. I installed these buttons easily and low and behold the remote was back in action. If you have a remote that does not work and you have a little mechanical ability, these buttons will work for a repair.

If I disregard the lengthy shipping time in the rating (discussed later) I used the product’s 5mm buttons on an old Hunter after market remote fan control. The product worked well and I gave it a 4 rating. I did find, however, that the protective covering on the button was more difficult to remove than indicated and IMO is an area for improvement.

Although purchased from Amazon, the product was produced and shipped directly from the vendor via USPS. After notification that it was mailed and in spite of paying a separate shipping charge, it took 12 days to get from the seller in Maine to me in Charlotte, NC. Messages to the seller to find out it’s status were to no avail.

I have tried to repair failed remote control buttons for many years. I glued carbon button tips, tried paintable conductors, and several other methods and none of them would last.

This product offers a very smart solution that I believe will outlast the remote control itself. It is relatively easy to install, provided that you are very careful when placing the buttons not to short-circuit other traces. The instructions are clear and thorough on this issue. Had a dvd/vcr remote that quit working properly even after taking apart and cleaning all contacts. Tried to find a replacement to purchase, even tried a universal remote with no success. Decided to try this kit and very happy with the results on my old remote. Easy to install, just be careful and don't overlap pads onto any other contacts on the board. They have a note in the instructions about that. I did that and nothing worked and I thought I may have damaged the remote chip as they say can happen. I removed all the pads and the unit worked again, chip was still good, so I reinstalled these pads much more carefully and it works like new. Have used for two months now and still working great. Plan to use some on my electric gate keypad soon. They work great for me, will purchase again when needed.

I used this on my truck's key fob as the lock and unlock buttons barely functioned anymore. The seller included a nice write up that nicely explained what to do. Cleaning the circuit board with isopropyl alcohol and Q tips and installing the buttons took less than 10 minutes. Now the buttons are working nicely and responsively. It's too early to tell if the new buttons will continue to stick to the circuit board after hot or cold weather, but I'm pretty optimistic.
