The author, Vicki Tasman, has written a wonderfully entertaining book about one of our Presidents. Thomas Jefferson was an important person in writing the Declaration of Independence. When this story begins, Thomas Jefferson was living in his great house Monticello. He had a garden he loved, and animals were his best friends. Buzzy was his dog, and Buzzy tells the story. Buzzy was a new type of dog, Baird, that had been unseen before Thomas added him to his home. On this day, Thomas tells Buzzy they were moving because Thomas was going to be President. Off they went one day to look at the new house, the President's House, as it was known. And, then, itvwas moving day. Buzzy had mixed feelings about moving, and when you read this book, you will understand the pluses and the minuses of moving.
Adults will enjoy reading this book to their children, or children who can read will enjoy this book. Buzzy reveals all the feelings that all of us might feel when we are moving from one place to another. The illustrations by Fatima Stomato, are beautiful, bright, vivid and colorful. They depict all the adventures of Buzzy and Thomas. Children will also learn a little about this President.

Enchanting illustrations will make children fall in love with the book and Buzzy, the Briard, a dog breed I have never heard about.
The charming illustrations connect. Since I love farms too I was absolutely smitten with the illustrations of Jefferson's farm and the pictures on which Jefferson meets and connects with predecessor President Adams.
The very best picture however is 41% into the book: Buzzy (the dog) and Thomas (Jefferson) had lots in common. gray fur - gray hair, ponytail, long coat of fur....
I cannot imagine any kids who want fall in love with this book.
5 stars, am hoping that author Mrs. Tashman will write more of these little history books until my baby grandson is old enough to read them,
