Editorial Reviews

Book Description

First published in 1880, this biography explores the life of Lord Byron (1788-1824), one of Britain's greatest poets. Setting Byron's work in an historical context, Nichol shows how he was idolised as well as morally condemned, and discusses the reflection of Byron's flamboyant persona in his famous literary characters. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

About the Author

John Nichol is the author, with John Peters, of the bestselling Tornado Down, and also, with Tony Rennell, of The Last Escape and Tail-end Charlies. He is also a journalist and widely quoted military commentator.

What if I don't have 20 words to say about a book. Why can't I just say I enjoyed reading it. I didn't know that all that much about Lord Byron and now I know more.

If you plan to underline portions of Byron's work or comment
in the margins of the text, avoid this edition as any ink
"bleeds" through its poor quality paper (pencil works fine).
