From the Author
This is my first novel - newly available at a reduced price, thanks to Amazon.
Work began on this story back in the early 1980s, but after the first several pages were written, it sat in a folder for years ... then along came NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and the rest is history.
Despite its long gestation, and its early position in my writing career, I still like this book a lot. It reads pretty quickly, and it makes me laugh, and that's really all I was after.
Try it, I think you'll like it.
From the Back Cover
(an excerpt from Chapter 11)
Breathlessly stumbling headlong, pell-mell, head-over-heels into the surgical theater, Irv and Bonnie attempted, in vain, alas, to tell their companions about their companion. That is, they tried, unsuccessfully, to let the rest of the committee know about the rest of the committee. That is, ... oh never mind - just listen in, won't you?
"Huff huff huff," remarked Irv plaintively. "Huff huff huff huff?"
Mal and Steve looked puzzled, then at each other, then back, then at each other. Almost in unison, they said, "I don't have any idea what you just said, Irv." They then looked, hope leaking lachrymosely like fresh-squeezed potato juice from an Idaho speed bump from each eye, at Bonnie.
"Unh hunh," she managed - but merely nanoseconds before a fit of gasping caught her by surprise from behind and slammed her unceremoniously into a softly-cushioned chair.
