I bought this replacement filter to replace my old filter in the Honeywell Model:50101 Air Purifier. The replacement filer came in a regular clear zip-lock bag. It is possibly a generic brand, which I really don't care about. You can't even tell the difference between whether or not it is Honeywell. The replacement filter also comes with 2 Velcro pieces.The replacement filter is one giant piece and will most likely need to be cut, depending on your air purifier model and size. I will be able to make at least 4 smaller pieces out of this new filter. The replacement filter is also about twice as thick as the original Honeywell filter, but this doesn't make a difference. It fits perfectly. For the price that I paid for it and the fact that I can make 4 or 5 pieces out of it (paying less than $2/pieces), can't go wrong with that.Check out my picture where I compared the new replacement filer to the old Honeywell filter.

This arrived as 1 large sheet. Works great for me! It is longer and wider than my older Kenmore pre filters. I was able to cut a good size portion off the end which worked great as a pre filter in my window A/C unit, then I folded the rest in half lengthwise and cut down the center with just a tiny bit of trimming to even it up so it doesn't stick out the bottom and I now have 2 pre filters! 1 for now, and 1 as a spare. That gives me a total of 3 filters for $5.20 with free shipping,...Yay! :D

The Kenmore Hepa 130 air cleaner I have was given to me by a family member so I don't know how thick or thin the pre filter originally was so I can't really compare the quality of this one and a new one that is made for my filter. The pre filter from my cleaner was pretty worn out and thin, I should have replaced it long ago, but I just kept cleaning it and rinsing it off. This new one is very thick, so much thicker than the old one. Seems like it will do the job better. I also did not notice any black stuff coming off in my hands as other people have reported, even while I was cutting and trimming it with scissors.

Shipping was pretty fast, and the package was well sealed. I will buy again when I run out, can't beat the price. :)

I ordered Honeywell 38001 Enviracare Universal Replacement Pre-Filters. What I received was some generic carbon filter that is not scored for easy resizing to fit the air purifier and the wrong quantity (sent 2 instead of 4). This is highly misleading advertising. The filters sent to me via my order from Amazon came from Complete Filtration Services, Inc.

While the service was fast in receiving the filters, they are not as advertised, and the order was not sent correctly at all.

Addendum 10/7/11:

After reporting the problem with my order to Complete Filtration Services, Inc. they responded promptly to send the correct filters. The original Honeywell filters are excellent and definitely worth the price. I did not use the generic ones sent originally, but if you are wanting Honeywell brand filters it pays to may sure you receive what you actually ordered rather than settling for a generic replacement. As for Complete Filtration Services, Inc., anyone can make an innocent mistake but their customer service is excellent, they responded to my concern in a very timely fashion, and I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Your supposed to change your filter every 3 months. I have a dog and he gets fur on everything, and my filters always have a ton of fur on them. I sometimes try to vacuum the filter to get longer use out of it, but it absorbs odors too so if you want a clean fresh room everytime, do yourself a favor and change it. After using a Honeywell filter, my allergies have lessened. The stuff really works, but you have make sure it is working efficiently by cleaning it and changing filters.

This universal filter fits the round 50250 model perfectly. You just have to cut a few inches off, and each box just gives you enough for one use. No point in having an air purifier if you don't change the filter.

We have these filter pads installed in a Honeywell C-6005 that is situated in a lower den and another C-6005
in an upstairs bedroom. They work quite well. Within about six weeks of installing the Honeywell C-6005, the lower den's indicator light came on, showing the need to replace its filter element.

The filter element was covered with particles that had been removed from the air in this room. Once changed, the indicator
light took twice as long to come on the next time, indicating that the electronic filter had done an excellent job of filtering
the air in this den the first time around.

We experienced the same situation in the upper bedroom, even though the filter element was not as dirty, indicating that the
air in this room was cleaner than that of the lower den.

These are excellent filters and their filter pads should be replaced whenever the light in your Honeywell air filter comes on.

Honeywell (my go-to air purification company) has typically been a solid purchase for the unit and replacement filters. However, the last batch of pre-filters I purchased were of a cheesy quality. A couple of the pre-filters were very thin and almost see-through. Having purchased many Honeywell replacement filters over the years, I can speak with good authority, that I know an inferior filter when I see it. I expect better when purchasing Honeywell replacement filters.

This Honeywell Carbon mesh Pre Filter #HRF-AP1 was purchased for the Honeywell enviracaire Portable True HEPA Air Purifier table top model series model 50100 and is suitable for other series. It was delivered during the Covid lockdown in few days quickly and packaged in Honeywell original box. This comes in a folded sheet about 10x20 inches and needs to be cut to fit. The perforated breaking marks are at 1.5 inch apart and are not suitable for unit fit. The old mesh wrap was used as a template to easily cut the new wrap and attach to HEPA filter at ends with two pieces of supplied Velcro. The sheet gives five cut wraps and a small piece 14x12 inches left over which would be suitable for another air filter or wall grate. The mesh wrap is well covered in a black coal carbon coating to collect debris and odor with almost no dust settling. The item is exactly as described and pictured and is reasonable priced. It should last average three months daily use. Would buy again. This filter is required for the first Honeywell HEPA Filter “D or “TRUE A for the table top unit.

The two pieces purchased separately tax included cost about 65$. Another item purchase as set together with the same two pieces and almost described the same was priced at over 103$. The only difference was the HEPA filter was indicated as an “TRUE HEPA A filter and not a “D filter. The descriptions and reviews seem the same but maybe they perform different. Honeywell phone rep advised both filters suitable.
