I bought this memory book after purchasing a different CR Gibson book (the one with an elephant holding a balloon on he front) for my first son and really loving it.
This purchase, however, is slightly smaller in size and the texture of the paper isn't as silky smooth as the other. It is more of a heavyweight traditional paper feel.
The pages stay true to the sort of woodland theme I was looking for, but I liked that the other book I had was more colorful and decorated. Most of these pages are all white with some small illustrations.
There are pages for:
-all about Mom and Dad
-baby shower/gender reveal
-mementos and photos
-choosing a name
-birth statistics/info
-hand and footprint
-birth certificate/announcement
-what baby's home and nursery is like
-what today's world is like
-a page for each of his first 12 months (all same set up)
-first birthday
-baby's firsts
-a page for each year of life up to age 5
-and others!
I included photos of a bunch of different pages to give you an idea, which is what I wanted to see when I made this purchase, but it wasn't available as no one had reviewed this book yet. I hope you find the pictures helpful!
I liked most of the questions on the pages and used most of them. I like that the pages are fairly simple so it's not ridiculously overwhelming to fill in. Especially with it being baby #2, it's hard to find the time! Some pages or sections I did leave blank.
Overall, I like this book a lot because it fit our nursery theme, was sinikar to big brother's book, and has good info to include.
My suggestions would be to have the book size match the other CR Gibson books, have the silkier pages, and add slightly more color/illustrations.
Overall, a great keepsake and I'm happy with my purchase!
