It was worth every penny I paid for it. There is even replacement parts there if needed. From now on, if I need a tool that I cannot find anywhere else, I'm sure I will find it at AMAZON.COM The Revolving Punch is built to do the job the first time and it's built to last. There is no substitute for QUALITY.
This one does need a bit of leverage, I've found that with heavy duty hand tools like these, often it's best to use the punch flat with most of the leverage on the upper handle. Pushing down is a lot easier than squeezing -- work smarter, not harder.
All in all, I'd say with the capabilities of replacing the hole punches when they become dull whenever, for a mere 30$. Some good oil and care when using should ensure long use. If you're in the leathercraft for the long haul, consider this investment.
The first 155 I received had a bad #4 punch. The cutting edge was pretty bent up. I was very impressed with the supplier who replaced it immediately. The second one works fine but actually not as well as my 223 punch. To make my product I have to cut holes through two layers of 9 oz. vegetable tanned leather. The new 155 doesn’t cut all the way through and I have to turn the piece over to finish the hole. The old 223 cuts right through no problem.
Given that the 155 is in the $60+ price range and the 223 is about $14 (on Amazon), not sure I would recommend the 155. I’ve had my 223 for over 3 years and I use it a lot. It still works well.
In fairness, I can’t speak to the long-term durability of the 155 and the individual punches are replaceable. But, I can buy two or three 223 punches for about the price of a replacement set of punches for the 155 (roughly).
Anyway, I’m going to keep the 155 now that I have it. It’s at least a very fine looking tool. Pretty sure I wouldn’t have bought it in the first place had I known what I know now.

Sort of a throwback to when tools were expected to not be junk. I bought a cheaper one before this one. Mistake.Published 3 months ago by Twodogs
A high quality tool, made like the one Grandpa used. Not stamped, form, fit, and finish are excellent.Published 5 months ago by Laney M Pankey
Works very well. I only wish it wasn't covered in black grease. no matter how hard i try to clean it, months later it still occasionally dirties my leather.Published 7 months ago by K. B
