Blog postWell, I screwed up. When uploading the manuscript for the preorder of Labyrinth to Tartarus, I forgot to click the "Publish" button at the end. As a result, I missed the deadline and the preorder was canceled.
If you preordered the book, you will not be charged for it, but you will have to order the book normally when it comes out (hopefully tomorrow).

Blog postI just submitted the third book of the Eternal Journey, Labyrinth to Tartarus, to Amazon so it'll be ready for its preorder. That makes it fourth book this year, with one more book to be released in November.
LitRPG has been good to me so far. Sales blew the second Warp Marine series out of the water (the first novel of the fantasy series has outsold all three books of the Bicentennial War combined). After two years of declining sales, it is good to connect with a new audience.

Blog postWarning: most of this post involves "inside baseball" commentary on publishing and indie publishing. And none of it deals with politics or plagues or current events.
As we enter the last quarter of 2020 (may this year soon be on our rearview mirror), I figured I'd share on the state of things at Casa del Geek:
My sixteenth novel came ou June 25th and has been a success, with better sales and KU borrows than I've had for a book since August 2017, when the fifth4 months ago Read more -
Blog postI've been seriously pursuing fiction writing for close to eight years now (by which I mean sitting down and writing novels, rather than thinking or talking about writing and maybe scribbling something down once in a blue moon). In that time, I've explored diverse genres, with varying levels of success.
I am a voracious reader, enjoying everything from modern-day technothrillers to military science fiction, urban "trad" epic fantasy, litRPG, alternate history and many other6 months ago Read more -
Blog postWell, even as Victory and Death continues to sell at a decent pace, I am about to try my luck with a new genre, LitRPG. To the uninitiated, the genre incorporate game mechanics and concepts into a story, usually based on computer RPGs or MMORPGs like World of Warcraft.
Novels in the genre use such conceits as having fantasy worlds where the 'game' is real, or situations where the characters enter a virtual reality computer game and somehow find themselves facing actual challenges o6 months ago Read more -
Blog postThe novel is out and can be purchased here:

That makes a total of eight novels and two short stories I have written in this setting. Am I done with the Known Galaxy? For now, yes, although I have ideas about where the story may go in the future. I have at least three novels (and possibly as many as 6-8) before I can return. Must write faster...

Blog postWhile I wait for the proofreaders to get through Victory or Death, I have released a five-book set containing the entire Warp Marine Corps collection. All the five novels in the setting, from Decisively Engaged to Havoc of War, are available for one low price, or free on Kindle Unlimited.
I'm hoping to release the last novel of the Bicentennial War by the end of the month or first week of May. That will be my final foray on the Known Galaxy setting for the time being. If I go back t7 months ago Read more -

Going forward, my next project is a LitRPG series; that will probably consume the rest of 2020. After that, we will see. I have more ideas than I likely have years left in me, so it'll be a matter of picking and choosing.

Blog postWell, took me long enough, but Book Two of the Bicentennial War, They Shall Not Pass (title changed from Harbingers of War) is done and available for pre-orders. The book will be released on Dec. 12.
This is the second book of a trilogy. I want to get Book Three out early next year and bid goodbye to the Known Galaxy setting for a bit.

A Game of Life and Death
(Warning: Contains violence as well as adult situations and language)
Ben sat down to play a brand-new MMORPG, Eternal Journey Online. Next thing he knew, he had been transformed into his character, first-level Paladin Hawke Lightseeker, and found himself in a corpse-filled cavern complex crawling with monsters and undead. Armed with a sentient sword, Hawke must learn the rules of a reality where magic and power-leveling are as real as swords and knives, and where you only get a limited number of respawns before you die for good.
Follow Hawke as he explores the mysterious Common Realm, meets new friends and foes, battles to survive, and learns more about his growing power and inner strength.
Note to LitRPG Fans: This novel concentrates primarily on action-adventure, with a focus on power-leveling and learning new magic and class subsystems. Future novels will deal with town and stronghold management. There is also a harem (fade-to-black, non explicit) subplot that plays a part in the story without detracting from it.

(WARNING: Contains violence, adult content and strong language.)
A world of larger-than-life heroes and villains with all too human failings. An action-packed tale, combining thrills with humor and more than a few pop culture references and nods to geek culture. This is the first tome of the New Olympus Saga.
College student Christine Dark wasn't happy. Her social life sucked, she spent too much of her time playing computer games or reading sci-fi novels (and the occasional paranormal romance) and she felt like she was missing out on everything.
Fate had something special in store for her, though.
Without warning, an unknown force drags Christine out of her world and takes her to a whole new universe, an alternate Earth where superhuman beings have existed since the end of World War One, a world filled with strange and dangerous characters.
Christine soon learns she too is more than human, and that her choices may save her new home... or bring about its destruction.
REVISED EDITION: The original novel has been updated and revised, with some typo corrections and edition changes.
An Implacable Foe
The Nemeses are here. A mysterious species responsible for wiping out countless civilizations. Can the star-faring nations of the Known Galaxy stop the million-year-old force gathering at their doorstep? Hasty alliances are formed and former enemies stand together as the US Navy, weakened after the Horde invasion, must rebuild in the brief months before it has to fight for the survival of humanity.
Always Faithful
While America prepares for war, the conflict’s outcome may depend on a single person. Colonel Lisbeth Zhang, USWMC, has been captured by a cult of warp-crazed cultist and is held in a fortress planet deep in a lawless part of the galaxy. A joint team of Marine Wraiths and CIA agents led by Heather McClintock launch a covert rescue mission. Zhang’s warp abilities may be the key to defeating the Nemeses – but only if the small team of Marines can defeat impossible odds to bring her back alive.
They Shall Not Pass is the second book of the Bicentennial War, sequel to the best-selling Warp Marine Corps series.
- S.M. Stirling, Best-Selling Author of the Change Series
In the sequel to Armageddon Girl, Christine Dark and Face-Off must face their inner demons while they try to save Earth Alpha, a world where superheroes are real and danger is everywhere. Meanwhile, Ultimate the Invincible Man finds himself a wanted man, persecuted by his former colleagues; Condor and Kestrel fight for justice while indulging their twisted sexual desires; and Cassius Jones, the hero known as Janus, reveals the terrible things he discovered during his exodus in outer space.
Filled with action, adventure and romance, Doomsday Duet continues to explore a world filled with superhuman beings with all too human failings.

An embassy – and the human enclave around it – that soon finds itself surrounded by armed mobs. Can the Marines and a ragtag band of civilian and Navy personnel survive long enough to be rescued?
A mission to a forgotten planet. A disgraced admiral facing an implacable foe. And on the forefront of battle, the dreaded Warp Marines.

But will digging around the lost ruins of an ancient - and evil - civilization provide the answers the US needs, or bring destruction to the entire galaxy?

After joining forces with a faceless vigilante and other unusual heroes, Christine discovers she has the power to save that world – or destroy it.
Doomsday Duet: Christine Dark and Face-Off must face their inner demons while they try to save Earth Alpha, a world where superheroes are real and danger is everywhere. Can a former gamer chick endowed with cosmic powers and a murderous vigilante deal with their differences - and their growing attraction for one another - and escape the shadowy forces hunting them?
Apocalypse Dance: Christine Dark and Mark Martinez face their greatest challege yet. Captured by the Dominion of the Ukraine, where they face torture and death, they must find a way to outsmart the Iron Tsar, escape, and deliver the world from utter destruction.
